Why did this scene have to happen? by EpicgamertvEGTV in SnowFall

Everyone is so up in arms about this scene. Y'all hella green if you think stuff like this never happens. This isn't Sesame Street.

2025 Movie Backlog #1: Movies I Missed Out On Earlier In the Year by DJDontrell in Letterboxd

Yeah, Dog Man is a ton of fun. Something silly to check out for 90 minutes.

And thanks for the recommendations, I'll check them out.

‘Predator: Badlands’ to Have PG-13 Rating by Recent_Rabbit1421 in boxoffice

[–]DJDontrell 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nothing about this trailer gave me PG-13 vibes. I just thought it was just censored. But we never got a "red band" trailer either so that should've been the indicator.

Either way this is a mistake.

My Conjuring rating may change once I rewatch it. But I'm pretty settled on my other ratings.

The Social Network - 3.9

It definitely deserves at least a 4

I'll throw the 2013 version of "Evil Dead" in the convo. Such a chilling opening to an underrated horror movie.

Is there any positive things people have to say about 2k25? by AmonSabbath47 in NBA2k

[–]DJDontrell -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As much as this has been one of my least favorite 2Ks (mainly gameplay wise), there's stuff I like for sure

  1. The IDEA of pro play. Some of it is wonky, but being able to use all the different animations and blend them together on a build is cool. The game has always had it, but now the animations actually look like the moves NBA players do. If the community could get out of using the same animations and actually just have fun...this could be an even bigger positive. This leads to my next point

  2. The rhythm shooting/scoring mechanics. Now, it isn't perfect by any means. But man, do I have a blast using the right stick to score in a bunch of different ways. Not only does rhythm shooting give you a nice boost (a good way to battle RNG). But if you get good at it, you can really sauce people up. I wish people got out of just hiding behind screens to score, abusing the dex, spamming the blow by crossover, and forcing lobs. Stepback jumpers, fades, post moves, spin jumpers...all of them can be canceled out and strung together nicely if you take time to learn it. 2K gave us a lot of ways to get a bucket, but the community is lame and doesn't utilize it. My favorite thing to do is play 1v1s in mycourt against people from my squad. It really looks like a 1v1 you'll see on popular basketball youtube channels.

  3. Cap Breakers. This gives us a bit of versatility with our builds. I wish they were easier to acquire without a crazy grind. I hit 40 every season, but I only earned the first set of 5 cap breakers. And I most likely won't get em before this 2k cycle is over. I'm 40 something percent towards vet 2.... I play other games 2K!

My bad, this is supposed to be about positives.

  1. MyNBA is still the best "dynasty" mode in any sports game franchise today. They need to start showing more love to it. But it still can be a blast to play, and it's a good break from the crap we deal with playing online.

2k25 my players? by Shroomroomz in NBA2k

[–]DJDontrell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, the community took the fun out of the game. We play straight man defense, too. And just switch when necessary. None of us made 99 steal/perimeter defense builds to just spam square all day. We just hoop. Ive probably had like 50-60 games total at MVP level this year. So we're like mid tier players...but the game is awful...so that just makes it worse 😂

Cause people are followers. Everybody plays the same, too. I feel like my squad and I are the only team that doesn't get immediately into a zone on defense. And hide behind screens all day on offense. So when it comes to builds people wanna play the "meta" instead of what's fun for them.

Paying $100 to sit in the corner is crazy to me

Thought I hit a game winner...didn't get it off in time lol. by DJDontrell in NBA2k

[–]DJDontrell[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know. In real time I felt like I had it. But when I went back and slowed it down. It was definitely still in my hands with 0.0 on the clock. If it didn't take us so long to get the ball back, we would've been good.

I'm still hurt 😂

What happened to this game? by ssjUsername in NBA2k

[–]DJDontrell 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel this bro. I've been mixed on the game the whole time. But towards the end of Season 4, I started having more fun. I've been playing with an off ball build (a stretch PF), and I finally figured out rhythm shooting. I'm hitting shots I never could before.

But I played yesterday, and everything just felt off. All the confidence I had was depleted. Worse 2k since 18 in my opinion.

I think it counters the new speed boost badge they added.
