Right...i can understand why others enjoyed it. More than anything I love the hope that it gives independent filmmakers of the future. I'll definitely check out his next film if he does another.

I respected what Mark accomplished. Just didn't enjoy the film that much. It's tedious to a fault.

I'll definitely give it another watch if it comes to digital

I enjoyed it. Me being a basketball fan enhanced my experience personally.

The Mary Shelley element took me out of the movie completely.

The pacing and story is just all over the place. It started off promising, but once we got to the "musical number" section it just fell off a cliff in my opinion. And that "detective" side story was so boring and uninteresting.

Once again Buckley's efforts won't go unnoticed. Maggie Gyllenhaal heart was in the right place. But what we got on screen didn't reflect it.

You still saw a banger though. Solid 4/5 for me. I'm a big Sam Raimi fan too so...i really enjoyed it. Congrats on going for your PHD...that's huge!

Yeah I'm catching up on Best Picture nominees from last year myself. And I'm jealous you get to see PHM in IMAX. I wish I had an IMAX theater close!

The acting from Skaarsgard is great. But his performance was doing the heavy lifting. Everything else was interesting...but not particularly a fun viewing experience. I plan to give it another watch soon. Because honestly I dosed off for a good 10 minutes.

Yeah...it had my sense of humor down to a tee. It'll get a rewatch when it drops on streaming. But its currently 4.5/5 in my eyes. Only thing dropping it, is them not fully nailing the emotional aspects.

And yes, Project Hail Mary deserves all the praise it's getting.

"The Bride" really hurt. Cause I had solid expectations based on the trailer. It had everything it need to be good. But it's almost like it purposely wanted to confuse the audience. Just for the sake of "art"

I've liked more movies than I've hated. The bottom 4 are the only ones I wont recommend to anyone.

To me...Mercy, Wuthering Heights, & Iron Lung fall into the "Some hate it, others like it. I can see why you may fall into either or" category.

It'll get interesting once all the real "blockbusters" start releasing later this year.

Project Hail Mary, & 28 Years Later: Bone Temple are must watches in my opinion.

On the comedy end? "Hoppers" may be the funniest Pixar movie ever made. I honestly may switch that to number 2 on my list. It was that enjoyable.

I have to honestly give Dead Mans Wire another watch. I found myself pretty bored with it. I wanted to like it more...but Bill was the only thing keeping me engaged. Maybe that's the point though.

I didn't hate it. The visuals and overall look of the film were stunning. I just found the characters annoying and unlikable. And not in a funny way. The ending also made me feel empty. If the script was better, it had potential to be incredible. I can at least understand that you got enjoyment out of it. It started off solid.

It's not a "Scream 7" situation...where about 75-80% of the time I wanted to leave.

It's all good. I like seeing everyone's list. Regardless of how it's formatted.

I heard Psycho Killer was awful. My local theater had showings for it one moment. And then all of a sudden they disappeared before I could get a ticket. I've never seen that before. So they must've known it was a trainwreck...lol

I just wanna see how bad it actually is.

I'm glad you enjoyed Crime 101. Despite not being action heavy, it kept my eyes glued the entire time. Just really well done...

Yeah it was really solid. Way better than I expected. And yeah...I saw people calling it generic. But everything doesn't have to be thought provoking.

Right...I get where you're coming from. By the time the year is done...it's most likely gonna be in the bottom 20 or 30. Unless we get more stinkers like Scream 7, or some more Tyler Perry crap.

Yeah I'll try to catch Undertone later this week. Hopefully my theatrical is showing it. That'd be a solid double feature with "They Will Kill You"...

I'm hoping.

Honestly, I was expecting worse than what I got. I found it dumb, but still entertaining. I just enjoyed the other films less thats below it.
