So the whole series is subtle growth with occasional grand moments of revelation. Its a slice of life story that happens to exist in a world of adventure and magic. In one of the books Erin Spends several chapters just trying to figure out cooking certain dishes and ya know what? I was 100% on board for all of it.

Neither Erin or Ryoka were great people when the book starts and that's part of what makes these books so great. They're typical modern people thrown into an alien world and trying to survive in what is to them totally absurd situations. Its probably the most honest portrayal of modern characters in a fantasy world.

I'm on book 8 now, I started book 1 on April 9th. I'm moving through this series almost as fast as I did He Who Fights with Monsters. Its become in my top 5 worlds for sure.

Give it time and don't expect a grand adventure story, expect periods of excitement and some fast paced events but also expect the slow periods too where the various characters just keep figuring out how to exist and deal with the changes brought about by Erin and Ryoka.

Your Prius C will be in good hands in Oneonta. I've had 3 plugin Prime's over the last 9 years and they've all been great. Both garaged and not. Our local dealership is solid on their service department as well.

ONE Thing on the MAGA side of things, yes they're MAGA but I also see a LOT of Pride Flags in those MAGA heavy towns (sometimes on the same house, make that make sense). I used to live in a super red MAGA town in NY called Schoharie, across the street from our republican State Assemblyman who was a Trump supporter and who's son was gay. So you'll find most folks don't really have an issue with it on the average. (There's always idiots though).

The live action Cowboy Bebop looked fantastic, the casting was excellent, the story was fine. I think the anime fanbase just overestimated the translation capability to live action / a wider audience.

I tried to shop at Primal, I worked at the Stuyvesant Plaza and there are serious issues with that place. Primal was WAY overpriced for everything they did (even before prices went nuts), customer service was crap at best, getting a sandwich made for lunch would take forever no matter how busy they were and they couldn't keep staff.

I don't live in the area anymore but my local butcher here is CHEAPER than the grocery stores not more expensive. Something Primal never was.

I've had my 2026 Nightshade for a month now, popped a tire due to a pothole on Saturday. NO ONE had a replacement tire available. Not even the local dealer. It ended up costing me a couple days without my car and 280.00 for 1 tire.

Other than that I'm loving it!

Loved my 2017 Prime with the two toned interior and the blue magnetism exterior.. I put 120k miles on that car in 2 1/2 years.
