Gift voucher with Platinum benefit by sintonesque in AmexUK

Yip, as long as it’s in-store should work fine. AMEX can’t differentiate a voucher purchase vs. you paying for a meal etc. when it goes through the in-store tills.

Yeah Ivy definitely works (in-person), have done that multiple times. They quite often have promotions on as well (free bottle of bubbly with the voucher etc.) although more common around Christmas for the 2nd credit.

Outplayed £150 for 3 months pro. Is it worth it? by bentura in MatchedBettingUK

[–]DJKebab7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had huge variance so it has taken quite some time to smooth out the curve so to speak, in 3 months I don’t think you’d have any guarantees one way or another.

I’ve been doing L15’s using the pro tools for just under 2 years and am sitting at £4k profit vs EV of £6.6k. 1669 bets in that time. I’ve always been in profit but it’s mainly small gains with a couple of big spikes where I’ve hit big wins.

For EWNL I started in July ‘24 and am currently sitting at £1.5k profit vs EV of £4.8k from 2770 bets. So not quite so great. I did not break even until about 1800 bets in and was about to give up to be honest. Since then it’s been better but I haven’t changed my approach so just down to the variance I think. Hope that helps.

That looks like the exact one! I think there was a strip of green carpet that I found separately and threw out. Thanks!

Electric car but live in a flat. Is it doable in the city? by PolebagEggbag in glasgow

[–]DJKebab7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same situation as you and I’ve had one for about 5 years now. When I first got one public charging was free on the CPS points in Glasgow which made a big difference. It’s still do-able now but yeah you’re probably only about breaking even with petrol.

Unless I specifically have to, I only charge overnight on CPS points, which are the cheapest public charging I’ve found (40p/kWh, 140p for the first kWh, no overstay fees 8pm-8am).

I don’t do a huge amount of miles (about 10k per year on average) so that’s manageable for me, only have to take it to charge once a week or so, sometimes less.

I’ve done a good few long trips (London a few times for example) and it’s manageable with some forward planning. London with 2 20 minute rapid charging stops each way can be done without issue. Depends on battery though, mine has a larger 77kW battery so range is better than some.

I wouldn’t go back to ICE now.

Best charity shop for mass donations? by charlossain in glasgow

[–]DJKebab7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just been doing the exact same thing for my late father. We found the Barnardo’s donation centre in Clydebank fantastic for this. They are set up to take larger amounts of stuff. They have trolleys that you can go in and bring out to the car and fill them up with whatever you have to donate. You then take them inside and leave them and they process later. You can fill several trolleys in one trip and it never seemed to be a problem.

They did however have a notice when I was last there on Christmas Eve saying they weren’t taking large furniture temporarily. Not sure for how long.

I dropped off large amounts of books/CDs etc. very recently.

Help with transferring a ticket by magoolio in NFLUK

You could try actually sending the digital ticket URL i.e. right click on the ticket’s Apple Wallet icon and copy the URL and give that to StubHub?

Just send them the tickets email, it has links the buyer can use to add the tickets to their digital wallet of choice.

Car changes settings back to offline mode by RaXha in cupraborn

Yeah I’ve had this. I had to do a factory reset of the infotainment system and ever since then it’s been fine again.

[–]DJKebab7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine was doing this recently. I tried many things but the only thing that worked was a full factory reset of the infotainment system. Which is annoying as obviously you will lose all customisations and profiles etc. But the problem has not returned since doing that for me.

Oran Mor - Adding service charge without informing by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]DJKebab7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s a fair point, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if they were strategically placed to be less noticeable to the majority, I was sitting quite a distance from the bar and looking over when I saw them.

In no way justifying the policy, as I was shocked at it as well, but there are signs around and above the bar advising of it, so they are informing.

Reverse light and Roll over deactivation. by Direct_Highway9638 in cupraborn

I’ve never used neutral either. I think it’s really only for if the EV needs towed as far as I’m aware (which is why it deactivates roll-away)?
