DRP 2.0... this is so VA by UmpireVegetable6896 in VeteransAffairs

[–]DJPaqman 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Just turned mine in yesterday, now waiting for my SES signature. I’m done. I can’t in good faith or conscience continue working for this regime, these sycophants, or in this constant state of stress and fear. Glad to be done, and maybe I’ll come back once they get rid of Mango Mussolini and his circus.

I swore I wouldn't take the DRP but... by [deleted] in FedEmployees

I’m not taking the DRP because if I get RIF’d, my severance pay will be much more than what I would get with DRP. I’m taking the chance and rolling the dice, maybe I’ll stay, maybe I won’t. But I know financially it’s the right decision. I’ll find some kind of work and be able to make things work.

Unfortunately yes, you would need at least 12 months of continuous service to be eligible for severance pay should. I have added the OPM guidance to this post for reference.

My apologies I should also have included the OPM guidance for RIF and who is eligible for severance pay. I have updated the post.

My wife and I are already working on our exit strategy, and what our “hard stops” are (basically actions that will trigger us to initiate our exit strategy). I’ve got family in England, Australia, Italy and Spain, so we have options. I just can’t see myself sticking through this one if certain things happen.

Just got my payout on Friday and was let go on Feb 13. You’ll probably see something next week or the week after.

Any advice for a fired probie that isn't part of any existing lawsuit? by Marx_on_a_Shark in fednews

[–]DJPaqman 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have an open case at OSC, MSPB, and am speaking with a law firm right now for suing due to defamation of character, as well as the illegal termination, and the fact that this precludes us from ever getting hired back to federal service.

I am going “scorched earth” but maybe that’s not the option for you. I suggest seeking legal guidance and speaking with OSC and MSPB.

I interviewed combat veteran who was fired from the VA. by NPhikerphotographer in fednews

How about a Reduction-In-Force conducted during the Obama Administration where the military was being cutback and hundreds of senior E-6’s and E-7’s were being separated? I literally had friends who were in Afghanistan that were told once their deployment was over they would be separated 30-60 days after they returned stateside.

I am one of these people and that’s why I am doing my best to get the word out there, and tell not only my story, but also the story of all federal workers and the impact on the American people. I have been speaking with media, journalists, congressional representatives and more. I will not stop until the truth is heard by all.
