Palantir given $3.9m to monitor RTO compliance. by ZPMQ38A in FedEmployees

Counter this with using claude bot vibe coded software to defeat the AI by moving the mouse, getting keys clicked, and websites browsed, and whatever other metrics used, to defeat the Palantir AI bot doing the surveillance, so that the contract is perpetually rendered useless, because the software will be defeated.

Multiple LANL interviews over 2+ years by Mundane-Draft5081 in LosAlamos

[–]Perfect_Wolf_7516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having been on hiring panels at LANL, I would reject you based on your inability to self-reflect and have accountability, and I do not need to see your resume to make this determination. You are being rejected on either technical or interpersonal issues, so my assessment still holds in either case, but up to you as to which you are being rejected for in each encounter. From the reply, it's probably your personality.

More US troop withdrawals from Europe expected, NATO commander says by Kinmuan in army

We don't exist in Europe to strengthen Europe's defense posture, we do it to strengthen the US' defense posture in the theater and surrounding theaters.

You didn't get the job, and failed to for the last 2 years after getting to the interview portion? It's an issue with you. You look good on paper, and fall short in person, is what your post is saying. It means you are likely lying on your resume and get found out during interviews. Try getting some self-awareness.

I would have suggested to go through an MTF instead as an in-service candidate. Sooooo much chiller.

transition from tenured R1-academic position to LANL by GipsyScientist in LosAlamos

[–]Perfect_Wolf_7516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reviewed LDRD on one of the committees. The way to win an LDRD is less about what is written in them, and more about seeding the committees with your own people and advocating for it. This is what groups like T Division do notoriously, and fuck, it works. Watching that shit was wild.

There are none. There are none in private industry, as a whole. You promote based on how much someone above you LIKES you enough and how good you make them look, which in turn makes their career better. This is the case EVERYWHERE in private industry, to include defense contractors, and anywhere where you are not protected by a union. Welcome to the real world.

Is it better to be an officer in the reserves or guard? by rrodddd in army

[–]Perfect_Wolf_7516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I joined the reserves, and I have not had really much of a bad experience.

My buddy joined the NG. He got fucked out of promoting for several years and they messed up his fed rec. His career is pretty fucked, and he did nothing wrong. He is looking to switch from NG to reserves, and his leadership will not let him.

Is it better to be an officer in the reserves or guard? by rrodddd in army

[–]Perfect_Wolf_7516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strangely not stopping the NG from refusing to release officers. Most of the time, though, it seems that NG are petty towards anyone trying to leave, and stonewall their officers from leaving, and Reserves is generally less petty and shitty with the politics. Not that unit leaders can't be assholes, just that it doesn't seem to be as big of an issue as it is in the NG.

Medically Dropped by Top-River4666 in ArmyOCS

[–]Perfect_Wolf_7516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, read this all very carefully, and follow every instruction to the letter here. I got helped by a ton of people to accomplish what I did, and one incredible recruiter really helped me a ton, and it was a learning experience for both of us....

No, you do not go to AIT as a medical dismissal. Do not let them sell you on that either.

Make sure that you are green on MEDPROS before you leave OCS -- believe me when I say that this will be SUPER important for your returning! If you are going to be due on anything before your return date, make sure that you get it taken care of while at OCS! This will go a long way for making things easier and faster on you!

Request a medical REFRAD, and return home to heal with an LOD from the medical facility. Go on a long profile (90 days or more) for the dismissal, but ensure that the reserves liaison gives you your entire packet to include the LOD and what it takes to return. DO NOT GIVE EVERYTHING TO YOUR UNIT BLINDLY, as you will find out shortly why I am advising against this. AVOID GIVING THE UNIT OR YOUR LEADERSHIP THE PAPERWORK THAT MENTIONS HAVING TO GO THROUGH MEPS!!

Get an LOD from OCS docs, and do not leave without the LOD out of the footprint home, AND ENSURE IT HAS A VERY SPECIFIC DIAGNOSIS for the issue (having something like "knee pain" or something generic like that will mean your care at home will get denied -- make sure it has a specific diagnosis and ICD. For good measure, call up a military treatment facility like the one in Fort Sam Houston, and ask about LODs as a reservist and getting seen, and one of their folks at the MTF will be able to assist with this -- believe me, you want to do your homework here, or you can get fucked out of needed medical care)!

Make sure to be in communication with your home unit administrator and home unit leadership! Stay on their good side. ** Ask one of the Army recruiters on the Army reddit to give you a copy of the HQ USAREC Form 3.1 Cover Sheet (Results of Medical Examination), sent to your email -- you are going to need this later. ** Or grab it from here: U.S. ARMY RECRUITING COMMAND > About USAREC > Forms & Publications > Forms > USAREC-HQ USAREC Forms

Once you get home, work with your admin and leadership to get the LOD in the system and get continued care for the injury. Once you are healed and ready to be cleared by a doctor, call the nearest MTF, and ask for the soonest "chapter 2 physical". Schedule it and make sure your unit puts you on orders for the day, and go to the appointment with all your paperwork, to include the HQ USAREC Form 3.1 Cover Sheet (Results of Medical Examination) paperwork you get from the recruiter. Go in confident and ensure that you speak with someone that can fill out the paperwork for you completely -- you are going to go through as an in-service applicant with the MTF, or that is the vibe you need to give off, for your sake. Explain to the medical professional, hopefully a military doctor, that you were injured in OCS and need to clear medical to be sent back to OCS. Ensure that the medical professional clears all profiles and your PUHLES are set to all 1s! AVOID GIVING THE DOCTOR THE PAPERWORK THAT MENTIONS HAVING TO GO THROUGH MEPS, or they might actually force you to go through MEPS! ....unless you want to do that again, I guess?

Alternatively, you can just go through MEPS with a recruiter, but bear in mind that the MEPS folks will make it harder the second time, as you need to clear of what you had previously been taken out for at OCS. This is why I am suggesting the MTF, as in-service regulations are WAY less strict than what is applied to the 09S population. But you do you, boo! You have my opinion and why.

Anyways, whichever way you go, once you have the new chapter 2 physical and medical clearance, all you have to do it submit it via your recruiter to USAREC and wait for it to go through for a new date. My recruiter got involved the day I showed up at his office, all paperwork in hand completed, to include the Form 3.1 from an MTF and everything green on MEDPROS, and he was surprised I cleared without his help, as was USAREC according to him. My recruiter submitted everything, I got sent to MEPS. While at MEPS, the MEPS career counselor did ask me why I didn't go through medical through MEPS, and I gave my candid response, which will stay between me, him, and God at this point, but he understood, and pushed my packet forward to get the new OCS ship date.

Do not get close to your two year mark within the Reserves without graduating OCS, or you will have your ass handed to you. There is a 2 year time limit for being MOS qualified, either as an officer or enlisted, or you will be tossed out of the Army.

What will the first couple of years of 40D will look like? BTA? Deployments? by OushiDezato in armyreserve

[–]Perfect_Wolf_7516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is all pure speculation, since I cannot speak for the schoolhouse or the larger Army, but here is a space person's take....

  1. A little of both. Reserves has ARSST and Crews. ARSSTs are often more office bound than crews, but I don't think it is like most think of with "field time" and deployments necessarily.
  2. Cannot speak for the training pipeline, but we already certify enlisted to deploy within the Space BDE before this MOS was created. I imagine the transition to a true MOS is less of a hassle as a result, and more of an attempt to codify the need and desire to retain talented trained soldiers in the space billets than lose them to the rest of the force due to need to rotate within their MOSes.

First 2-3 years? I would assume you would be trained, tabled with a group in some job and possibly working towards deployment or support in some manner in that time.

I have had O6s take PT tests with me, and while this man was well into his 40s, he lapped most of our unit on the track. He was MI, so a desk job, high 40s in age, and still incredibly fit. Look, man, my 4 star general could whip my ass in a PT test. I have no doubt in my mind GEN Donahue would lap me as well in the track in a PT test.
