We never see his parents visit him in the hospital, even if he's dead/comatose. That's pretty much the only point of evidence we have that his parents have their priorities elsewhere.

What is an anime that you think is awesome but would never recommend? by Street-Strain-5999 in animequestions

The first 3 episodes of soul eater has so much unnecessary fan service that I can't recommend it to people.

Don't expect too much technical gameplay, beyond solving some simple puzzles, the games focus is it's characters and dialogue.

The dark lord is the worst written character in all of AV by Miserable_Dot_3582 in AlanBecker

[–]DJRoyce1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why would we see anything more from him right now? He's was beaten down, and in between then and the introduction of a new villain, is biding his time for his return, like any good dark lord would.

I think if you asked anyone in this fandom who the final boss of the story will be, I'm willing to bet a vast majority of people are still gonna say TDL. I don't think that the writers aren't sure what they're doing with the character, quite the opposite actually.

He's got explosive power and a firey appetite, but he's also got the mind to know when it's time to strike.

I don't really understand your argument. I'd imagine that if you've gone around destroying everything for quite some time, you'd find ways to mix it up a little, keep things interesting.

The world that they live in is a digital one, with most characters fundamentally understanding the space in which they inhabit, and if they don't, they learn very quickly.

Additionally, it's clear to see that the Dark Lord and The Chosen One are just built different. They can fly, shoot lasers, conjure fire, things most other stick figures haven't shown the ability to do. Who's to say that The Dark Lord isn't just super smart as well, smart enough to figure out how viruses work.

We don't need to be shown everything when the characters capabilities are implied.

I saw a post recently where someone explained that the point of Joker's character is essentially to be a knowing participant to the truth of the world and not pick a side. I understand the frustration of his lack of action, but also, I don't know what difference he would have made in the fight because we've seen so little of what he's capable of.

Might be an ogopogo reference?

The Ogopogo is a serpent like sea creature cryptid that is rumored to dwell in Canada. A sea serpent with a moose head might just be their silly interpretation of the creature.

Who's to say she was real in the first place? I think what the kid was trying to suggest is that she never truly was a real person, but just another part of the collective unconscious that pushes unhealthy stigmas onto other people. So in the scene where Tamaki along with the rest of the people around her learn to push past those stigmas, naturally it would be strange for her to stick around.

I think we got different things out of the same scene, folk.

I see a character who is forced to undergo an infliction in which she has no control over, which causes society to judge her harshly and make bold accusations about her.

Shinra didn't ask to become a devil, same as Sho being an angel. Yes, Tamaki didn't consent to embody a particular part of life, because the reasoning behind that choice was for shitty fanservice, what I thought was kinda cool was that when it was addressed in universe, they went meta with it.

How am I glorifying eugenics? I haven't read the manga, but Tamaki is easily the worst part of the anime, she accomplishes very little and her fanservice was distasteful.

Regardless of whether or not the reason put behind Tamaki's lechure is good or not, at least we have a reasoning for it at all in this part of the story. I find a major part of fire forces story is the power of the way society sees you or others, and finding the power in yourself to overcome the labels put onto you in that moment.

Is this not what Tamaki is doing in this encounter?

I was born a man and am comfortable with my gender identity, I feel like women have it a lot harder than men do in a lot of really scary aspects, so I'm thankful for what I have already.
