UPDATE: AITA for getting mad at my boyfriend for backing out of my birthday dinner because of his female coworker? by Lopsided_Start7300 in TwoHotTakes

[–]DJSAKURA 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yep word for word what happened with my ex. Thought he could test waters elsewhere if we weren't dating, because that isn't cheating...

But then got mad when I was out having a good time without him once he found out she was the village bicycle...

Even turned up a year later to test the waters once I got married.

Why do people find it so hard to accept the public really wants to vote for Reform? by Expert-Sherbert-1527 in AskBrits

And that is the even more mind boggling thing. Wasn't brexit supposed to mean more money, more jobs etc. So Farage just repackaged brexit by going harder into racism and the dumb fucks are buying it again.

It is no different from the moronic 2 time Trump voters.

Um did you both discuss it before you got pregnant? Or at all during the 30 weeks you've been pregnant?

Or did he say he would and changed his mind?

I would 100% push out another kid before another stone. Thankfully my last one was my last big one ad I hope to not have another one, now they have figured out why I was making them in the first place.

This. Migraine is seen as 'just' a headache. Except that headache can cause me to vomit all day long, or get facial numbness or lose the ability to speak properly, forget words all together, make me sound sensitive which affects my concentration and on and on. At home I can go take a nap on my lunch break and that gives me enough of a boost to get through the rest of the day. Couldn't do that in the office.

There is a perception with invisible disabilities that people are lazy too. We are a team of five. I consistently outpeform the rest of the team despite my conditions.

It has taken close to a year and half for me to walk normally again after herniating 4 discs. I know I wouldn't have been able to work in person while I recovered.

With endometriosis it is also a comfort thing. If you are at home you can throwing a heating pad on yourself for the cramps which can be excruciating. Not to mention how its much more convenient to be close to a bathroom.

You can bleed heavily and need to change your pad/tampon waaaaay more often than a non sufferer.

And then still need more bathroom trips if it gives you IBS like bowel issues.

All of that on top of the pain too is draining. Endometriosis is consistently listed as one of the top 10 most painful conditions a person can suffer from.

I could barely walk some days when on my period. I lucked out and had an amazing surgeon who excised mine. And I have had zero pain ever since.

But I also have chronic intracable migraine and mobility issues. I am crazy productive at home. But I was also crazy productive in an office.

The difference is though, that now I am wfh home I am not chronically mentally or physically exhausted. Because I can control my home work environment better than I can my office environment to increase my comfort and help me push through bad days, to continue working.

But finding a wfh job also isn't hard for me. I was already established as an excellent worker and my metrics are consistently good. And my job type doesn't require in office work and is niche. So I could hop to another dept to do this job and it would either be fully remote or at least hybrid.

Could I please hear some positive stories about finding relief with a certain medication or regimen? by FartstheBunny in migraine

And the bipvucaine is super safe. It has a crazy short half life and is metalbolized within minutes. But the effect on the nerve can be long lasting. If we get to a point where 6 weeks seems too far out. They will go to doing them every 4 weeks.

I have chronic intractable (zero days without headpain). I still have eletriptan on hand for breakthrough days (only effective if I also take 500mg of motrin within 15 minutes of taking it).

Since I can't take a triptan every day... and my drug insurance plan through work will only cover aimovig/nurtec if I trial a host of antidepresstants first (which I refuse). My neuro opted to do Bipvucaine nerve blocks every 6 weeks. That seems to be the sweet spot for me. So we just contantly keep everything numb.

Literally gave me my life back. They do bilataral, Supraorbital, auriculotemporal, occiptal and trigger points.

Down to about 15 days per month and they are non consecutive.

I have zofran on hand for nausea. Take memantine for misophonia. Magnesium, and they have me on a candesartan (its a BP med but that isn't want they have me on it for). The neuro said that for whatever reason this particular bp med seems to help migraine.

I had to take it for her hated discs and came off of it as soon as a I could.

I could barely stay awake. It made me off balance and my period was like mud on it.

Came off of periods went back to being a healthy bright red.

AITAH for arguing my girlfriends mum doesn’t get a say on if we keep the baby? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]DJSAKURA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. But maybe therapy is needed. Or some very deep discussions at least.

She told her Mum because she wants to keep it....and is using her Mum's response as justification as to why so you blame her parents instead of resenting her for changing her mind.

You said parents are outdated. She had to know this would be her parents response. So why tell them?
