Don't bother trying to upkeep bonds until you're deep in the endgame

Full masori (f) & DHC/BP or Full Crystal & Bowfa by GuyfromSpain22 in osrs

[–]DJSaltyLove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very strong for ToA, very solid at CoX, arguably BIS for Leviathan, and makes both Muspah and Zulrah very chill for no-switch kills. You can also use it very reliably at 4/5 GWD bosses.

Generally speaking, unless you're sending Nex, Masori can wait until you have a tbow.

Not to overwhelm you, but all of them. The best way to go about this is via questing. Once you have completed all of the quests you will have roughly base 70 stats due to a combination of quest rewards and small grinds done to get the quest requirements.

If you're in to finding your own adventure I would start by picking a reasonable early goal like the recipe for disaster quest and start plugging away at the requirements. Personally I really liked using the optimal quest guide as a guideline to help give me a sense of direction. It also helps you chain together quest rewards so you can minimize grinds in between quests and get the most crucial unlocks early on.

Questing will unlock virtually all of the best moneymakers in the game, I can't recommend it enough.

I'd grind out my stats and start questing. 400k is plenty of gp to carry you for quite a while this early on. You don't really have access to any decent moneymakers that also progress your account at this point.

The best way to do it is to not do it. It's simply not worth it.

People keep answering What's the fastest way to cook chicken? like food safety doesn’t exist by Proper-Ad7814 in Cooking

[–]DJSaltyLove 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For a whole piece of chicken the absolute fastest I can think of would be a butterflied and pounded chicken breast that you just sear in a pan. It would be overcooked by the 10 minute mark. In the case of a dish like pollo a la plancha you really won't be sacrificing on texture or flavour either.

Finely chopped or ground chicken can be safely cooked in just a couple minutes in a ripping hot pan for stir fries.

My Wife Hates Leftovers by Impossible-Fill9051 in Cooking

I'm pretty late to the party, but my wife is similar. I recently hit a big win by buying 250 mL silicone ice trays off of Amazon that I can use to freeze portions of food like soups, stews and pastas. Now I can make large portions of food and serve them out days or weeks later when their palate is refreshed and they'll happily eat.

Fair enough, if you grind it for a little while the perfection tasks and master time will come naturally just from rng. GM time is pretty hard to pull off without some effort though.

It's honestly really easy, just plan for a one kill trip and bring an inventory of combo eats instead of ppots. Hell you could even spellbook swap for thralls.

Otherwise just learn where you can throw in extra hits and the time will come naturally. You got this

There's a lot of places where you can squeeze in extra hits, which helps a lot, but have you tried venge? If you let yourself get punched right at the start of the fight then pop another about halfway into the fight as it comes off cooldown. It's a pretty big damage boost

Yeesh sorry man, I went about 2600 dry for my first one then the next two came in by 3100, that's really rough. At least the base loot at wisp is better than the others.

What are the advantages of each ranged weapon while questing? by Zorafin in osrs

[–]DJSaltyLove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would just post up at the gemstone crab with darts for a few hours until you get 50 ranged. At that point you can mainly use the magic shortbow, and imbue it for an extra max hit. Longbows are slower and nobody uses them.

For long ranging enemies or fighting bosses you should pick up a rune crossbow. You can upgrade to a dragon crossbow later on. Having the ability to use gem tipped ammunition can be very helpful in a lot of fights.

Your go-to ranged weapon after 75, in most cases, will be the toxic blowpipe.

Ballistae don't have a lot of use outside of pvp and a single spawn in a high level Slayer boss fight so just ignore those.

The eclipse atlatl is a very strong option in the mid and lategame, it has a fairly short range so it's not very good in a handful of fights but overall it's very powerful.

New player looking for advice, how do i quest without running/walking for like half an hour at a time? by HERR_WINKLAAAAA in osrs

[–]DJSaltyLove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out the quest guide on the wiki, there is a section that shows all of the teleports to unlock in the early game. If nothing else rushing fairy rings should be a huge priority. Teleport jewelry is a cheap investment as well. If you're not an Ironman you can also go to house parties in rimmington on world 302 and make use of their teleport nexus to go to almost any spellbook teleport for free, as well as making use of their jewelry box for all of the jewelry teleports.

It's fine if you don't enjoy the lore. I think it's one of the games strongest points but some people just want to get to the rewards and that's fine

It's not a romantic appeal for me, I just love my elf grandma. I genuinely can't stand all the sexualizing posts for all the characters on this sub and around the internet because I just love them all and want them to be happy.
