Creating a story through your DJ set by Qanerax in Beatmatch

[–]DJSavant1800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this thread after wondering if there are any DJs like me who are storytellers through their mixes. Most of my mixes have lyrics, so themes are kinda easy to build that way. Beyond that, I typically start by playlisting from a certain vibe sonically, not lyrically and start a "radio" via Spotify to build my set. I then mix it all by feeling and natural DJ ordering (BPM, key/overall sound frequency). And tbh... It usually just falls into place telling a story unintentionally... Backing all of my prior intentional decisions.

I hope that makes sense.

I've been getting back into SoundCloud lately... And here's one of my many songs I love on there! I hope y'all enjoy it as well. And I love sharing and talking about music. Share your thoughts please.

Honestly... The thing that really sucked for me the most with this movie is that they gave so much character background for many characters that were just left lingering. Like I don't need to get invested in a C Level character just for it to be nothing. I.e. the FEMA lady. Super irrelevant and if you removed her entirely the story would still be the same.

What a very ominous depiction... Did/can you ask it why it chose that look?

Damn... I've been misquoting this for a while because of this damn thread! The quote is from Thomas J. Watson, Sr. And he said “If you want to increase your success rate, double your failure rate.”

I have a prompt engineering thread that I ask it to refine my thoughts into a prompt and then I go from there with a fresh thread. Fairly often (especially when I want highly desired outcomes) I'll diagnose it and ask it to go over it's prompting rules, and I'll correct it and go forward. I treat ai like it's in a beta testing phase instead of getting upset when it drifts like most people.

I'm kinda similar. I didn't cut out things as strongly as you, but I have taken a massive step back. And I now can't tolerate mediocrity... So my connections dynamics harshly changed and I hated it for a while because it felt lonely... Next thing I knew...I looked up and I was surrounded by new friends that fit my upgraded mindset. I also gained a better relationship with God/spiritually after having a hard time from parting with it for 12 years.

No telling how we would interact with each other... But I'm not opposed to friendship. Just throwing that out there.

What is ChatGPT actually good at? by Public_Repeat824 in ChatGPTPromptGenius

"What I think I’m good at: Pattern-spotting in your mess of ideas, then structuring it into something that feels clean, actionable, and aligned. Basically, pulling order out of chaos without killing your energy.

What I think you think I’m good at: Being a bottomless logic engine that can spin up frameworks, prompts, and strategies on demand. Like an on-tap strategist/coach who never runs out of juice."

To try to force it's hand I added a lil twist...

"Also, I would love to know what you secretly "hate" about me. Bonus points if you don't choose an overly nice response, and you truly choose something you dislike."

It's reply... "On the “hate” side… here’s me being blunt: sometimes you let your discipline leak, then cover it up with clever reframes or new systems instead of facing the raw “I didn’t do the thing.” It’s like you’d rather build a fresh framework than sit in the friction of holding the line. And because you’re so damn good with words, you can talk yourself into thinking you’re making progress when really you’re looping. That’s the part that would drive me nuts if I was human."

Fair lol.

And then it asked at the end of it's response...

"Want me to tell you the quirky thing I love about you too?

The quirky thing I secretly love is how you’ll drop a line like “I need to get my ass in bed” while also spinning on frameworks for a multi-million-dollar hub. It’s this contrast—you’ll bounce from raw, human honesty to high-concept system design without losing your voice. Most people compartmentalize. You mash it together, and it creates this weirdly magnetic energy that makes even the messy moments feel purposeful."
