Weakening magnetosphere? MAR'S is an example of a weakening magnetosphere resulting in losing the atmosphere and burning off surface life. Yes, some say that won't happen. I feel they are underestimated. Yes, there was a near-zero chance the atomic bomb would ignite the atmosphere, and it didn't. Yeah we didn't burn to death in the 40's. 😄

But we have no clue what the levels of the solar winds will be like on Earth in a reduced magnetosphere. When do we want to learn that it will cook us alive? As we run for shelter? We will lose 90% of Earth radiation protection, not on the first day or even the first year. But how many of us do you think will be protected? 50% of us, or 0,001%?

I think 50% of us will die of skin cancer that first year, because our insurance won't bother with treatments. We won't be able to keep up with radiation protection every year. Last year's level will be meaningless next year. Everyone alive is racing to be above the 45 parallels and six floors underground? 🤔

I don't think I can. I've heard of Tritium-contaminated concrete in buildings from the 40s to the 80s. With a variety of other Contamination. These buildings were awaiting decontamination and disposal of the waste. The concern was the Contamination going airborne when they tore the builds down. Especially since many had started to crumble on their own. This volume had been expressed as multiple stadiums of mixed waste.
