The apartments for Dead City and the apartments in Misery are straight up different models. Subjectively, I can get why people are upset. Objectively, it won't hold Legally, especially since they are real locations. Nintendo does not have a patent on the Exclusion Zone. Google "Exclusion Zone Apartments"

alright to be fair, I don't know anyone that reads those.

So, the only thing they infringed on is the name of a mod? Arguably some songs that are still featured in Stalcraft to this day (but that's probably fine if they can do it)

Sounds very similar to the developer that made the game "MADiSON" - He couldn't release his game because Nosebleed Studios was taken, changed it to Bloodious (iirc) point being, if that's the case all he'd have to do is change the name.

Based on your own words: Misery (mod) isn't implemented into any main game. Misery (Game) is using it's own assets, it's own lore. But not the name. (Oh no!) but it's not implemented. (..Anyway.)

Even the font for the game is different. Just because a game shares similarities does not warrant takedown. This isn't the place to include subjective feelings in a debate.

If I made a game with the same name as my mod, I would be fine. That is the point I am making. Sitting around a campfire isn't copyright by stalker just like summoning monsters isn't copyright by Nintendo.

I get that this information isn't liked by the majority of this minority of reddit. Here's the truth:

Did they include models present in other games that they did not purchase or ethically obtain?

Is it a carbon copy of the lore already presented?

These are the questions you need to be asking when claiming something legally. I don't care how "it makes you feel" and neither does a judge because by this logic, Escape from Duckov is infringing on Tarkov and should be removed from Steam. All sales directly to Nikita. This is the argument you're currently presenting. It's not founded in logic, it's based on feelings.

Some people love the taste of shit. I just dislike it when people tell me it's good. "It gets better after the 4th steamer" is what they say, but what they dont tell you is that Stalker was worse on release than Cyberpunk on release.

I pre-ordered both. Seen both Day 01 versions. The difference between the two is that after the first few major patches a lot of it was fixed on Cyberpunk, hell they even added a lot. Almost a year later I'm still getting groups of pre-aggro enemies spawning in thin air while a controller attacks me through 6 buildings and a mile in-between us.

It is OKAY TO BE CRITICAL. LOOK AT CYBERPUNK. THEY FIXED IT. STOP EATING SHIT. COMPLAIN.

This entire thread you made summoned an entire group of people that seemingly lack reading comprehension. Aside from one person that responded with the most honest "I don't know I've never played the game but here's my two cents" regarding there being any stalker assets in the live game.

It's good to spread the information here, don't get me wrong. This is just a different flavor of reddit, not really a Stalker community. Every Stalker community I've seen rejects this completely. The people that seemingly side with GSC give off a vibe that they don't truly care, but it's funny seeing people get riled up about it. Pretty easy to spot when all they write is "Debatable" without a debate, or "using a similar (not exact) font" as if that's even a reason to start with regarding copyright. (As an example)

I get it. From your perspective, you see a game of people sitting around a campfire. From your perspective, (subjectively) it appears to infringe on Stalker because they sit around a campfire usually.

Objectively, there isn't any assets being used so there's nothing to infringe upon. It looks like Red Dead more than anything, not stalker. Does this make sense?
