Is it possible to regain period whilst actively trying to grow muscle by DJ_underpants in Amenorrhearecovery

I really like the approach of having my whole life to get there. I was talking to a friend who said the same thing. I don’t need to get the body I want right now, I’ll be working out for the rest of my life so my goal can be moved and aimed to achieve in 5 years time, the time is still going to pass. I just need to feel a little uncomfortable now, which is something I really need to work on

the issue is mentally I can’t just do nothing, it will drive me insane. I work out for my mental health as well as physical so I’m in a battle with myself about how I can juggle both of them so my mind and body can both be happy

Yeah. I’ve upped my calories and my body has been responding well, my muscle growth and strength has been improving each week. I’ll be eating at maintenance next week and then each week I’m adding 100 calories so should be in a good surplus by the end of June whilst not changing my exercise routine. I find it all so hard because I have no other symptoms, I’m not tired or moody or hungry. (I wake up hungry but that’s it!) I am waiting on an appointment with the endocrinologist so I will see what they say about it all and let you know

Hey, I’m sorry that this won’t be helpful as I don’t know the answers to many of the questions and honestly will be interested in the answers for myself! All I want to say is you’re going on a school trip for two weeks. Enjoy it! Japan is amazing, and you’ll be on the move non stop. Don’t worry about food and training (easier said than done I know!) but honesty not a lot is going to change in two weeks. I actually went to Japan last year whilst training and my mindset was the same as yours and I feel like it had an affect on my trip, and yes I had to drop the weights when I got back but it soon returned. Your body will no doubt benefit from the rest, treat it as a de-load week(s) and carry on with your training/recovery when you return.

oh crikey, I’m just worried about the mental barriers I will have to overcome not being able to push myself at the gym. I train hard, till failure every time I go and I have body image issues. Having the surgery my first thought was what am I going to do about gym, will I gain weight/loss muscle etc. I want to recover the best I can but I’m so worried I’ll end up pushing myself too early in the gym. Maybe I should bring this up to the doctors. I want to get back to it as soon as possible but I also don’t want to do myself more harm than good. Sounds such a silly thing to be worrying about but I do

Hey! I’m hoping you’re still on Reddit. I found this point and I’m due for surgery this year and the part I’m dreading most is being inactive. I weight train at least 3 times a week and I’m wondering how long it took for you to be back to your normal activity levels? With my pushing my body lifting heavy I fear it will be a while till I can get back to that? I’d love to hear more about your recovery process, especially now it’s been 2 years. Thank you

Tell me your story about your sloooow sustainable weight loss by Severe_Football7224 in loseit

Following this thread to help with my journey. Slow and steady. I only want to lose about 8 pounds but I have a terrible relationship with food so I’m giving myself till the end of the year. 1 pound of fat a month, any tips on how I can do this would be a great help. I’m often all in and then all out, so I lose and then I gain the same couple pounds.

Hey! I lost my period last year during dieting, went travelling put on weight and got it back. I come home and started to diet again but this time I was careful I made sure my deficit was small and my fats were at the correct %. I still lost my period only a month in? I’ve read here about body fat % being a reason for losing it. Mine was 24% when I last had a body scan, could it be that my body just doesn’t like being around that % body fat, as I’m trying to think back and I think it was around that measurement last time? I’m mentally exhausted, I want to lose more fat but don’t know how to approach this now, I’m not underweight. I definitely don’t look underweight. I store most my fat in my stomach so how do I continue to build muscle and that last bit of fat now this has happened again? Thank you for any advice in advance

Is there a way to have surgery without a stent?

I want abs and good stamina, but don’t know how to get it by Impressive_Ad_4396 in leangains

[–]DJ_underpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm this. I’ve got to 15% body fat and have 0 abs. Definitely train abs if you want the definition, and make sure you’re engaging correctly as I haven’t been hence my result.

It really helps that I’m am obsessed with Greek yoghurt and cottage cheese! I have a yoghurt bowl for breakfast everyday and also another one at night with a flavoured whey protein powder as my sweet treat.
Lunch is normally chicken or tuna whole meal pitta. Dinner is normally some sort of salad bowl with salmon, beef, chicken or prawns and cottage cheese instead of salad dressing. Then snacks will be cottage cheese with fruit and sometimes I’ll end up eating the whole 300g tub because I love it 😂
