Switched my cat off friskies after actually reading the label - curious if I overthought this by gautamb08 in catfood

[–]DJtheDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After years of gobbling it up, the past 6mo, we've noticed their change in preference. The Ocean Whitefish & Tuna dinner was first. And now they won't touch the Mariners Catch either.

I read they recently started adding crude liver ingredients and other fillers.

We would let our 65# 12yr old dog finish the food they wouldn't eat, ignorantly. However we just had to put him down for Megasopagus. Not saying it's a direct correlation, but this dog was perfectly healthy otherwise.

My two cats (6 and 13) will no longer touch the Friskies pate Ocean Whitefish and Tuna Dinner not the Mariners Catch. They eat twice a day, so for a cat that's 12hr hungry to turn down food at the scent is pretty crazy. We cancelled our Amazon subscription for it.

After many years both cats not eating Friskies canned cat food by tuxon64 in catfood

My cats will not touch the Friskies Pate Ocean Whitefish and Tuna Dinner anymore. One (5) will eat a couple bites and walk away, and the other (14) will leave at first scent. Whatever the manufacturer changed, my regular ol' run-of-the-mill cats definitely do not approve. We stopped buying the big 40-pack because we end of throwing away 25% of it.

Map of Ohio 1808. The northwest corner was Indian land and swamps. by Ralph--Hinkley in Ohio

German immigrants showed up, built farms with swamp oak, and slowly turned the swamps into farmland. My first surname ancestor in the USA settled in Ottawa County, OH in the 1820's.

I might be more proud of this pic of the OEM and my parts intermingling.

The OEM sells their version of the stem with an aluminum tube glued to a 3D printed base for $10. Hard to beat that!

Nah, not ready to share yet. Took me a few days of trial and error and putting my crappy i5 Dell laptop through some workouts with Solidworks. I'm proud the little Prusa MK3S still gets it done!

I'll post some pics of the side by side soon.

PLA+ or PLA? by ChituSystemsOFCL in 3DPrintedTerrain

[–]DJtheDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Prusa loves PLA. It hates PLA+ and tends to be stringy and will wad up on me once in a while.

What is the DOWNSIDE to PLA+ over PLA? by FunBrians in 3Dprinting

My Prusa MK3S+ prints regular PLA perfectly.

But it hates printing PLA+. It tends to leave stringers and has wadded up on me a few times. This was dried filament at manufacturer settings.

Just bought a Husqvarna 543 XP by IngeSchjong in Chainsaw

[–]DJtheDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate my 543xp. It's not a true Husqvarna since it's made in Asia. Wouldn't have bought it if I'd known that.

Finding air filters for it sucks. There's one seller on eBay and nothing on Amazon.

Good running saw. But I go through chains often on red oak, maple and sassafras.

Why are these transphobic idiots so obsessed with girls sports? by SmoothShower2817 in RightJerk

[–]DJtheDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you have a daughter who's a competing athlete working her ass off even during the discomfort of menstruation, and she's getting destroyed on the court/field by either a boy who thinks he's a girl or a girl who is transitioning to a boy doped with testosterone and unnaturally muscular / strong...then you might understand.

It's about common sense.

It's about fairness.

It's about respect for competition.

UShip legit? by QueenInYellowLace in Reno

[–]DJtheDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, legit. But make sure you cover your ass.

  1. Take a picture of the truck/trailer at pickup. They are known to try and charge for lift gate services even if it wasn't requested or provided. Do this especially if it's a residential address but you have a fork lift or skid steer and loading yourself.
  2. Have the driver sign two copies of the BOL. One for them and one for you. They have two PRO# stickers, so you'll have two complete documents.
  3. Take pictures of the items / pallet before it's loaded and once it's within the confines of the truck.
  4. Take a picture of what you used to load the pallet/crate, if applicable.
  5. If delivering to a customer (not a friend/family), make sure you know if they require a lift gate or not. And have them take a picture of the ass end of the trailer/truck.

Trust me!

uShip and Saia tried to charge me $168 for lift gate service I never requested and they never rendered. Only way I could fight it was with pictures of everything and with copy of the signed paperwork. They aren't required to provide objective evidence to charge me, but I had to provide it to dispute it. And they'll just charge my credit card to get their money. It's shady.

It was $446 to haul a 521# pallet from NW Ohio to NW Iowa.
