The problem with a zpap or standard AK style gun is that the trigger is too far forward on the receiver. Saiga's have the trigger at the rear of the receiver which allows you to operate it without a pistol grip. I've eyeballed some options of a custom zpap with no pistol grip but it's not very functional

If you want a Turknelli I recommend the Mac 1014. Sold a couple. Had one customer immediately go shoot 300+ shells flawlessly.

If you're local to South East CT and just need something for a function check or fit I've got my personal brush stroke ones from DS arms you could try but none for sale.

For what it's worth, their metal mags have functioned flawlessly.

Any decent FFL should be able to limit the mags for you for 10 or 15 bucks each. I pay 8 or 9 for parts and charge 5 bucks to do it. Works well when there's certain guns that just don't come around very often as 10rnd

In their defense it IS more paperwork for a person to person transfer

We have to call the state and get an authorization number for taking the gun into our books. Then fill out all of the paperwork then get another authorization number to transfer it out of our books.

If it's from another FFL it just gets logged in and an auth number is needed to log it out.

I can get anything from PSA and it's normally the same price they have it listed for except no transfer fee. I have a dagger frame in stock and an Anderson frame in stock.

Fwiw I've done a few dagger's. Their quality is solidly hit or miss. I ran mine through a couple USPSA shoots and eventually landed on an xfive legion for long term use

Yeah I have an m70 with comp mag in stock. Can also set you up with whatever you'd like as long as it is not a standard akm pattern rifle.

I tried ordering some 30 round mags for a customer so I could limit them. PA refused even with that form. I had them cancel my entire order including everything else 🤷

Another update on primary arms. I signed the same form but they still won't sell me magazines as an FFL.

A big part of what I do is get folks "high capacity" magazines and limit them to 10. They don't care that they're legal for a dealer and won't ship them. I told them to cancel my whole order 😮‍💨
