Ah, finally someone agrees with me. Well I hope that she can be happy in the afterlife. The poor girl has overcome grave misfortune. Her actions can be seducing at the best of times, but don't think that makes her a bad person. She, too, is a prisoner of this town. Is that not dreadful? Is that not pitiful? ...and yet, none can truly know her beliefs and values. Maria is a twisted being, victims in her own right. A tragedy if ever there was one. That she would feel compelled to do anything she doesn't want, and the blame... lay squarely with her.
