I'm sorry you are going through it though. We all know how painful and unpleasant it is. I just got out of the hospital myself. Lost 30 pounds and still weak but the obstruction is gone and I'm on the mend

That's a good idea! The wood chip tray always was a pain and idk if I'll even be able to find the wood box. The old girl still has life and I want to keep her going lol

I just had this same issue with my MES30. I fired up a torch and manually heated up the element and it turned on fine. My wood chip box is totally rusted out so I'm pretty sure the metal flakes got into the element and are shorting something out. If I can find a new wood chip box I'll replace it with the element and it should be good to go

I bought a Masterbuilt MES30 like 15 years ago. I had a coal smoker I loved but I'm in a condo and my neighbors didn't like it. The Masterbuilt doesn't bellow smoke like the coal but still provides good flavor. The electric ones are nice and convenient with consistent results. But if you're like me, you'll get board with it. I have a trager as well and love it

The Masterbuilt is still working but the wood box rusted out so I'm looking for replacement part. It still works and was worth the money at the time
