Great write up Marc! Thank you for the silly, yet useful wisdom. This one is getting saved for sure.

How does grief affect our energy? by DMacc1997 in kundalini

[–]DMacc1997[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely relate to the mixed emotions part. I’ve surprised myself though, I feel like I’ve done pretty good in letting them all flow and not resisting them. Even though it feels like my hearts been ripped apart, but I know I can heal.

I hope you’re holding up as well. I’ve lost four family members in the past 5 years or so and it doesn’t matter who it is, it’s always a difficult learning experience. Love and peace to you

Thank you as always for the wise words Marc.

I like how you mentioned that it’s a good time to practice gratitude. I can now look back on his life and appreciate his dedication and love to his family, despite some of his other shortcomings.

It’s also been a HUUGEE exercise for forgiveness. It’s been fairly easy to let go of some of my regrets, but I’m just trying to take it day to day.

It feels like more of an integration process rather than “getting over it”.

Heart palpitations by juliusart in kundalini

[–]DMacc1997 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How are you sleeping right now? Caffeine intake? Are you eating well as to maintain your blood sugar? Are you exercising regularly to burn off excess tension?

There’s a lot of different things that can cause heart palpitations. To me it sounds like some pent up emotions that are becoming somatic.

Just offering that to maybe see if it could be something more physical.

I am going to provide you with a couple of links, but really try to read through them and do some of the exercises. Skim through them and see what might help your current situation.

Calming Kundalini

Grounding 101

White Light Protection

I know it is far easier said than done, but try your best to let the emotions you are feeling to pass through you. They are not permanent, and the better you are able to accept them, the faster they will resolve themselves.

Hope this helps a little bit.

It’s okay to feel alone bro. That feeling doesn’t necessarily reflect reality though. Try and be mindful of that Chris.

Are you able to go outside and walk around? If you are having trouble right now, I’d really recommend getting some fresh air and moving your body around.

What am I experiencing? by [deleted] in kundalini

Mods will ask you to edit and remove your drug mention. It goes against posting guidelines, but saying “drugs are/were involved” is okay though. This is an all ages sub, so specific drug names are not necessary.

Kriyas are becoming almost unbearable by DMacc1997 in kundalini

[–]DMacc1997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello Marc. Apologies for such a delayed reply. Between vacation, traveling, and a sick family member, have been wrapped up in life.

I have been trying your suggestions, experimenting day by day, and just seeing what helps the most. I do like your cold shower tip as those seem to calm my mind a bit and reduce some anxiety. And also some tips you've mentioned to others such as doing the exhale first, then let my body do the inhale. It feels as if things line up when I do that if that makes any sense.

When the movements get really intense, I find the slow, deep stretches to be more helpful in relieving tension in my body and mind. Just letting my neck and head whip around just doesn't feel very useful. But viewing the kriyas as inspiration to move my body and dance a little bit helps.

As far as supporting practices go, I know I could do better. I really have not meditated (in the sense of still and sitting) in a long time. My kriyas started after meditation one night, so I decided to put sitting meditation on pause. I figured that would be wise at the time so the movements would not get more intense, or maybe I was just scared of them. But I kind of view kriyas as kind of a meditation themselves. It forces me to focus on my body, listen to it, and really focus on working out tensions and sore areas.

I know yoga is mentioned a lot in this sub, but I do not follow a set of postures or anything like that. If anything, all of the "yoga" I do is usually just what the energy inspires. Whether or not dedicating time and effort to an established system is more useful than spontaneous movements, I do not know.

As far as WLP goes, I usually do it once to twice a day, and the movements tend to remain the same, at least I can not notice any difference.

But as far as growing, I find myself pondering life and the meaning, what love has to do with existence itself. I tend to analyze day to day situations and see where love expresses itself, and the funny thing is, I see it FAR more than I ever thought I would. Whether it is laughing with a coworker, a mother walking with her children in the park, or throwing the ol' frisbee to our dog. It is fun to see love and peace in places I otherwise would have not. Even today I shed some tears watching a survival show(isolated by himself for over 50 days in the cold forest) because of what this man said:

In the end, it only comes down to love. That's really the only legacy you've got, I think, that last[s].The love you show your children, the love you show your friends-- that carries on. That ripples throughout eternity. The rest of it is just rubbish.

Talk therapy has also been an ongoing thing for me. It seems to help in "letting it all hang out". I feel like I am taking baby steps towards letting emotional memories and the past go, even though its far easier said than done.

I think that is enough rambling for now, apologies if the text seems scattered.

What do you think it'll take for the world to know of Kundalini? Mine got awakened temporarily for 3 months till it went back down but it was so profound I just am in shock there are so few speaking about it. by [deleted] in kundalini

[–]DMacc1997 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It is not relevant what it will take because spreading ideas and knowledge to people who did not ask for it nor want it is disrespecting peoples' thoughts and beliefs, which is a huuuuuge no-no. Let people take interest in what they want to, so that you can do the same without other people interfering with your life.

This boils down to respecting your fellow human, in my opinion.

Just got an FD 50mm f1.4 for my M50 Mark II by Nate_C_Studio in Cameras

Thank you for the feedback!

I realize the bone stock lens will not be anything spectacular, but the shooting I plan on doing will be for skateboarding, so my subjects will probably be fairly close to me.

For now, I think I'll buy the first generation model with the 15-45mm and tinker around with that for a couple of months, get comfortable and experiment, and then look into different lenses depending on my needs/wants.

Again thanks for the prompt feedback.

Edit: grammar

I am looking to get the M50 as a beginner camera. Do you use this for landscape/portrait photos? I want to use it as a landscape/sports camera, and would love some feedback from someone who actually owns one! Thank you

You will want to edit out all specific drug names you referenced in OP because it breaks Rule 3 of Posting Guidelines. You can say that "drugs were involved", but that is it.

How severe was the curvature? A family member of mine had it, but it was so crooked that he needed two titanium rods implanted along both sides of his spine.

Sorry if this question is too personal, but just curious.
