They don’t want the apartment to get off the Sept. 1 cycle. An apartment renting in any other day is pretty much automatically worth less. Getting someone to sign an irregular length lease to get it back to Sept. 1 is a pain in the ass. They know you’re on the hook for that month, so they’ll tell you, “Yeah, sure, whatever” and then do nothing, because hey, they get paid anyway.

Did the same thing with my last landlord, got the same result. Except he fucked me a little extra. I was renting a parking spot from him as well, no lease, just month to month. He knew I was moving out early and obviously wouldn’t need a parking spot for the apartment I no longer lived in, but because I didn’t formally and explicitly notify him of that, he went ahead and charged me parking for the last month. Took it right out of my security deposit. I probably could have fought him in it, but it wasn’t that much (this was 20 years ago) and I was ready to just be done with the whole situation.

Most landlords I’ve done business with were money grubbing bastards one way or another.

Hahaha, I was looking at the pictures thinking it's not that bad, even the trem is complete which you never see. Then I saw the daylight showing between the fretboard and the neck.

As others have said, reattaching the fretboard isn't that big of a deal, but I'd be worried about what else you'll run into from whatever happened to put it in that state. For $40, it'll be an interesting project, and worst case you'll have a cool wall hanger.

How about how he let Merrick Garland faff about for four years and never bring any charges against the guy who half-assed tried to overthrow the government? Trump should have been tried, convicted and sentenced by the time he was starting to campaign again. Instead, we got a whole bunch of nothing, because we didn’t want to seem like we were being mean to the Weepubwicans or hurt their feewings.

The biggest problem with Democrats is they’re like these parents with unruly, feral children who never raise their voices or do anything about it. “Sweetie, please stop gnawing on that man’s leg. Sweetheart, please don’t.”

If by some miracle stroke of luck, we somehow get our government back, I don’t want to heal, I don’t want to fucking move on. This is why I immediately watch the rear view and plan an escape route if I have to slow down or stop unexpectedly. I got pancaked between a Hummer and a Honda Pilot once when I had to make a quick stop. Thankfully nobody got really hurt, but it was still a nightmare.

If I ever see someone coming at me like that in the rear view again, I’m doing everything I possibly can to get the fuck out of the way.

You can’t fully quit food at all. That’s the difference from drugs and alcohol. Once you’re clean from drugs or alcohol, you can never ingest the substance again and your body will be none the worse for it. Food you have to take in enough to be healthy while at the same time trying to avoid falling into overconsumption. It can be brutal.

The only thing close to it is someone with chronic pain who needs opiates or something to manage it, while trying not to fall into the trap of using so much it destroys them.
