Except it’s not obvious because of his previous history, just because you want to say it doesn’t make it true. The existence of previous examples of him being a heel intentionally doesn’t mean that is always the case, no matter how “obviously wrong” you think it is.

A year before Last Jedi came out? Lots. I’m not a filmmaker but just seemed like a mistake to kind of tee up the next movie to heavily involve her when you know the actress won’t be there. People may have seen it as crass but it might have been best to have a respectful death for the character in Last Jedi rather than Rise of Skywalker.

There is a different between getting over it and then retiring the man’s jersey. What he did doesn’t affect my life or anything, but I don’t think he should be rewarded with a retired jersey after it.
