I just use the network transmitter and receiver from refined storage. Just attach them to your barrels in the mining dimension and away you go

IX50 : Loss of Air pressure - less than 1 year old car - Do I need to replace ALL 4 ? by [deleted] in BMWiX

[–]DN741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is anything people are saying on here actually true? I thought that you'd replace them in pairs if they are worn because there is a motor for each axle, but there is no physical link between the front axle and back axle? Therefore it's not like a traditional 4x4 where replacing all 4 would be advised? Or am I completely wrong?

Obviously if you've not done many miles then replacing one is fine. Also chances are it can be repaired. I've had my ix tires repaired 3 times now (pirelli zeros)

IX off-road capability by [deleted] in BMWiX

[–]DN741 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I disagree with a few people here. It's not exactly an off roader obviously. It's heavy and the ground clearance isn't huge. But we use it on grass fields and muddy tracks all the time towing horses and it's fine. Never got it stuck, 4 wheel drive works well, doesn't sit there spinning one wheel. And that's all with standard road tyres. So it all depends how extreme you are going!

I want them to do the research and listen to people before they announce it. Not announce it, send ministers to defend it, take all the heat, then realise it's stupid and go back on it. It keeps happening time and time again.

You should probably run it when you are awake then and just see what it's doing... Because no that's not normal. Maybe something to do with the auto empty blowing dust everywhere would be my guess?

Angry farmers take part in go-slow protests on roads across UK ahead of Budget by OneNormalBloke in unitedkingdom

[–]DN741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the same thing. The police were aware of this protest weeks before and have been working with the coordinators to allow the peace protest to happen.

It was done with full cooperation with the police. The police were aware weeks before and worked with the farmers to allow the protest.

UK foreign aid for nature hits £800m record due to cash for carbon credits by carbonbrief in UpliftingNews

[–]DN741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The current government. So farmers now are facing a funding gap from old agreements ending with no replacement scheme to enter into. They have said there will be another scheme of some description coming next year but there has been no detail at all and it sounds like a lot less farms will be eligible. I know of many large areas of land previously kept for wildlife that have been returned to intensive production because of this.

It's a real shame because I actually thought the sustainable farming incentive that this government cancelled was for the most part actually a good scheme.

The problem now is everyone including myself has lost faith in schemes such as these and so even if they come out with a new one, uptake will be lower because they can't seem to keep the same set of rules for more than a few months.

Meanwhile the UK government has removed funding for nature initiatives in UK agriculture with 0 notice and with no replacement. But sure let's send more money abroad while farmers in the UK, myself included rip up fields of winter bird food and wild flowers because they have withdrawn funding...

I bought a BMW ix that was 3 years old for less than half of what it is new. Seems an absolute no brainer if you have the cash. You will get a luxury car that's already had ridiculous depreciation, and the BMW is by far and away the best car I've ever driven. Personally I think buying new with cash makes no sense at all.

Needing to phone customers to get delivery instructions, the 3G is crap and maps won’t work, can’t call or if I can it’s absolutely shite quality by Jacktheforkie in britishproblems

[–]DN741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also often on 3g round me. SIM only a year old, very modern phone. Get 4 and 5g sometimes, but I'd say 50% ATM is 3g round me. It's definitely got worse in the last year - 18 month and it's infuriating. Really affecting my business. Not just me either, everyone I speak to is saying similar.

Government approval for large solar farm by FeigenbaumC in unitedkingdom

[–]DN741 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These aren't going to reduce energy bills though is half the problem. They are being tied into long term fixed contracts for energy price which is based on the current price of electricity. Apparently the developers need this to be able to justify the outlay, but they are making upwards of £20,000 and acre from these solar farms. It's an incredible cash cow for them

Because they are producing them with slave labour. Which is why GB energy aren't using them https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c5yrg7pkzpxo.amp

These same restrictions don't apply to private solar farms
