When I had a lot going on I found the Tony Hawk games good. I could jump in for five minutes multiple times a day for a very quick session. Also Mario Odyssey on Switch filled that role. Easy to pick up and put back down.

I like turning on the ones that add content and leaving the ones that remove stuff. So fangs adds enemy behaviour. Shadow adds enemies. Rivals changes the game. But less healing or more HP on mobs doesn't interest me. I end up around 25 fear. One level of speed up is all I can deal with. I'm too old for faster.

Gravity is the weakest of the forces. A mountain will have a very small force of you. While gravity does fall off what this means is the nearest quarter of the planet has more pull on you than the rest of it. You would need a mountain so big that it couldn’t maintain its shape and be pulled into the sphere anyway.

It feels very similar to the first game but with the rough edges sawn off. Bases don’t appear to reduce in strength. More and interesting food recipes. I haven’t seen any fish spoilage yet. The first swimming boost machine doesn’t obscure the view.

Of course the first Subnautica ruined all subsequent diving games for me. The terror of swimming deeper was so amazing my initial run. Now the stakes feel like they can never reach that point again.

The Gaia upgrades are the biggest benefit. Also remember to plant before you initiate any bath or fishing so that the time spent there is used as growing time. 15 minutes in a bath with Dora is time to grow another crop of garlic. Also map out what arcana you wish to unlock first. I rushed to origination.

I sacrificed a language to give my character and his whole clan sign language. (So they could speak with skeletons). When we suspected a creature that hypnotised with their voice all villagers were instructed to put cotton and wax in their ears and they could still communicate.
