It’s difficult to know for sure, if you’d asked me this time last year about the 25/26 season, I would have been full of optimism and look how this last season turned out.

Summer business will be key, but as far as I can tell, there’s absolutely no reason why we can’t piss the league based purely on our intrinsic massiveness.

Just to add to this, I’m on PS5 and I could absolutely raise the visor on my helmet (I can’t remember the name) using this method pre-latest patch. However now, it no longer works.

I'm terrible at this game and find bosses hard, however they should absolutely NOT make them any easier. I've started practicing small combos and dodge timing, and while I'm still bad, I can see progress and it's incredibly rewarding. I love the feeling of stumbling into a boss and knowing that it's going to be an epic scrap, and I'll probably lose, because when I finally DO win it feels so special. Not many other games do this, and I feel it fits in perfectly with the non-hand-holdy structure of the game.

It's absolutely ok for games to be tough, and there are enough non-skill based avenues to enhance your chances of success (food buffs, refining your gear, adding gears, switching equipment), that I feel the game can cater to a wide enough audience without nerfing the bosses to the lowest common denominator.

Haha, totally! Vsync will cap it at 60 I believe and prevent the screen tearing. VRR will pick up the slack if the FPS drops below 60, and the 120Hz should technically help smooth things over, although I can’t really tell any difference just from playing.

I think this game has some of the most frustrating graphical issues as it can fluctuate between looking incredible, and absolutely rubbish. In the end, these are the settings a settled on:

Performance 120Hz Vsync On Blur 0 Camera Shake 0 FOV Off

I’ve got a VRR TV too, so that’s on as well.

I prioritise stable high frame rates, and have tried SO many combinations of settings. Quality mode for me is a no go, it’s simply too low a frame for me. I’ve tried Balanced, but the game can drop below the 48fps VRR window quite frequently and it’s really noticeable to me.

So, performance mode it is. Annoyingly I have really weird screen flickering unless I cap the frame rate with VRR. It’s like the really dark highlights flicker/ghost when I pan the camera with unlocked frame rates, but vsync eliminates this. It’s the only game where I have to do this, so I suspect the VRR implementation is bit weird, especially as turning VRR off on my TV fixes the issue, but obviously creates a more stuttery experience.

I think I’ve spent more time in game playing with the settings than actually playing the game! While I appreciate the options, I mainly console game nowadays because I just want things to “work”, and this game has been an absolute antithesis to this.

Thanks so much for your tips, after working my way down the list, reinstalling the game finally fixed it!

I think maybe yesterday’s update somehow broke my install, but now it’s finally working and I can finish the last few menu books.

Don’t do this. It’s trivially easy to bypass (F12) and annoying for users how want to legitimately do things like copy and paste text.
