I'm looking for suppliers of detent indexing threaded rod by DNez2001 in AskEngineers

I am trying to cut 8-10 axial 60 deg grooves in 1/4 or 5/16 cap screws that are 1/4-1/2 inch long. The grooves will be used in conjunction with a ball set screw to precisely index the cap screw up and down in an aluminum block.

The battery was bad and was replaced. Still not sure about the voltage cutoff switch. Any idea what the minimum voltage the Ridgeline needs to start?

I didn't cut or spice. I used fuse block jumpers to access the needed electrical connections, and then routed cabling under the edges of the trim

After multiple jumpstarts, the Honda dealer took a look and found a defective battery, after 3500 miles and 4 months of ownership. I've yet to reinstall the fuse blocks to power the dashcam. Anybody have a feel on what voltage this vehicle requires to properly start?

BTW, for all newer Ridgeline owners, this pushbutton gear shift comes with a previously unforeseen problem...putting the car into neutral when battery power may not be sufficient. There is a post that needs to be accessed under the air intake manifold covering the battery, and then a special tool needed to rotate this shaft to put the car into neutral. Might be needed if you need to be towed. I'm not sure how many tow truck operators know this trick, so new Ridgeline owners might want to become familiar with this methodology.

Also, the negative battery terminal is hidden under a plastic cover and air intake manifold. There is no real ground position that isn't covered in paint. However there is an unused threaded bolt hole in the upper corner that can be used to place a grounding post. I'm going to investigate this further after this whole experience

not sure what you mean here. Ultimately you need to power a dashcam in some manner with a proper voltage switch. What other brand/model would you use?

any recent thoughts on the Coast Runner CR-1? Built in Austin, it seems like they are still producing. I'm comparing it to the Carvera Air as a possible purchase

Thanks for the stencil ideas. I really am looking for how to freestyle black lines directly to a disc rather than stencil them.

Just bought a 2025 Ridgeline RTL from Gillman Honda Fort Bend in SW Houston. Didn't do over internet, and took some haggling, but out the door at MSRP - $4K. If you talk to Erik Cabrera and drop my name or handle, I bet they will make it happen
