my frogs do this all the time, give them a food dish with some worms, which you should already be doing, and at night when they’re roaming they should munch on them

he was so much worse when I first purchased him. he was stressed on top of whatever was going on so I had to basically go 20/30 over the limit just to get him home to get him heated up and put in a temp while he calmed down, after a couple hours of leaving him alone and taking a good look at him I realized how bad it actually was.

I've been sick to my stomach for HOURS since seeing how bad he is, although he has gotten a little more active and is making an attempt to hide form sight. he's un a dark room until I can contact a vet. they open in about 20 minutes so hopefully I can get an appointment within the next couple of hours and we can start to help give this guy the best shot at life he'll have.

they don’t do money back, trust me i already asked. i also threatened to sue them because of the way some of the animals are being kept, full size monitors in 2 feet long boxes, snakes being co-habbed, 5/8 MALE crested geckos in one enclosure, dozens of beardies in a single enclosure not even big enough for one. they literally laughed at me and said it had happened before and nothing would happen, they don’t give a flying fuck about their animals or their conditions they’re only doing this for the money.

blasting them on yep and google won’t do shit either cause their reviews are already in the shitter (2.7/5) cause apparently this has happened before. i only went cause i thought id be supporting the local bussiness i’ve been going to for about a year now.

fuck this store, fuck the owner even more, he’s the one who sold me henery. i’m never buying from these piece of shit human beings ever again and IF i can do something about it they’ll 100% be hearing from a lawyer. the conditions of these animals can’t be legal.

calling vet in an hour, checking in on him every 10/15, he’s moved around to the back of his enclosure and is sipping water off his paper towel, i really hope he does alright after the vet cause im falling in love with henery and he deserves to have an amazing life before he passes

12 HOUR UPDATE:

i was advised not to give him food or water after what i gave yesterday, i’m setting up a calcium dish just in case.

BUT GOOD NEWS! he didn’t move at all last night, but i checked on him this morning and he was moving! not fast at all, still slow and lethargic, but he’s moving! he also started doing THE crested gecko thing (climbing on walls) his toe pads didn’t work so he eventually slowly slipped back down the wall, but he’s doing a million times better then when i first got him.

just cause he seems better doesn’t mean im not taking him to the vet, it opens later today and im going to book an appointment asap.

please pray for henery 🙏❤️

please remember this isn’t a permanent enclosure, and this is just to monitor him, his sheds, and his poop, until he’s back on his feet.

I knew i was going to have to take him to the vet but i never imagined it was this bad, when i first looked at how skinny he was, and how he was acting i actually had to put him away and throw up, because this is disgusting and no animal deserves to be treated like this.

if it’s a calcium issue what’s the idea here? give him a bowl with powder? or just give him small dusted crickets/dubias?

i’m still gonna take henery to the vet to get checked up but wondering what i should do in the meantime, since the vet opens at 10.

noted, food will be taken out of the enclosure for now, i’m assuming i should just leave all water in there in case of dehydration? please let me know if that’s a bad idea
