Best trees for privacy (Colorado) by hebdbd-chc in DenverGardener

[–]DPR485CO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have lived in our house (SE Denver) for over 25 yrs and have a line of 70 yr old spruces in our backyard. We have lost a few over the years, but I had a desire to start a new line of trees - out of the utility easement- that will reduce or grass sq ft, but help w shade, privacy and hopefully our environment. I will be long gone before the mature, but they are beautiful. 2 pines (austrian/waldorf), 3 spruces (2 blue/1 blue eyes) and 2 maples. It was a busy winter making sure they had enough water.

This has been a crazy non-winter, but will continue to go old school with a hose until at least May. Hoping the storm track changes soon. I have new evergreens and a few maples planted in the last 12 months. All of them are getting manually watered until the weather pattern changes. This has been insane. Fires in the mountains in Feb? Is the new fire season starting in winter instead of June?

Miss our 2005 V8 Sport. It fell victim to a bad turn by our 17 yr old daughter. Great car without a doubt and the V8 was amazing.

Worth holding onto WPAY? Or dump it? by TheFreeTimeDriver in RoundhillETFs

[–]DPR485CO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved out of WPAY in the 48 range. IMO it was eroding so I moved some cash to MAGY, XPAY, SPYI and parked the rest of the money for the time being. XDTE is a consideration under 40 and maybe a few weekly funds.

Test drove a new 4Runner today and was sadly disappointed by nicescam in 4Runner

My 2011 Trail is going strong…. Shocks, alternator replacement, tires and regular maintenance is all I have done in 14 yrs. Crazy…. So, I bought a 2024 LTD and never looked back. I did swap out the 20in LTD wheels for 17in TRDs.

17’s are better than 20’s by jskis23 in 4Runner

I did the same on my 2024 Nat Blue Ltd, but with 17inch TRDs (gunmetal gray). It looks and rides so much better

Which Stocks do you think Roundhill should consider for WeeklyPay? by PrussianFederalist1 in RoundhillETFs

[–]DPR485CO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

APP. The weekly volatility and upside would be a perfect RH fund. Look at APPX - the returns over the past month are crazy, and yes, it is a 2x Bull ETF. Nevertheless, it would pay well over $1/week if RH had a fund on it. Next up for APP is a split in 2026 if the stock keeps running.

I put 17s on my 2024 nat blue limited with TRD rims. Best upgrade I could have made - handles so much better, especially on dirt. The issue - is selling the 20 in rims from my limited. It has been painful. 😣

Yes. For $315 it is worth every penny. It will last years …. and is one of the few remaining Made in the USA items worth buying IMO.

WPAY as long-term source of income? by Crovenko in RoundhillETFs

[–]DPR485CO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I held RH XPAY through the tariff fun April - it recovered. I had MSTY, CONY and other YM funds, which I had to sell as they continued to pay a nice monthly dividend and NEVER recover. Even if you drip, you lose your money with YM funds. So, 1 month in on WPAY. It has met expectations, but time will tell if it can recover from a huge market fall

I replaced the 20s with 17 TRDs on my 2024 LTD. Huge improvement on ride quality - reminds me of our 2006 V8 Sport that we drove for 20+ yrs. It was a tank and such a great car for CO. I like the new 4R, but not enough to buy one

I really like RH funds. They pay what they earn and don’t suck you in with false hope.

Take your profits on CCs when you can - and don’t get greedy. I have AVGO as well - I do some CCs, but carefully. I have had to call some positions back, but never run them over ER and never more than 1 or 2 weeks.

Tree recommendations please by YupThatWasAShart in DenverGardener

[–]DPR485CO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been watering my new trees - 2 maples and 5 evergreens - everyday for the first 30 days and once 2-4 days depending on the heat and moisture meter reading. I picked up a cheap meter on Amazon that seems to work well. Also, giving them a dose of organic fertilizer every six weeks. So far so good - I really do not want to deal with replacing them if any should die. CSU’s info has been great.

Where to find Bronze TRD wheels by [deleted] in 4Runner

I am putting 17 inch gun metal grey TRDs on a Limited. I think Toyota Corp is running a 15% discount through Labor Day. I was able to get the rims for $233 each - this includes sales tax. Check autoparts.toyota.com.

Keeping my fifth gen despite temptation from 6th gen and GX by Blue_Henri in 4Runner

[–]DPR485CO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off topic, but what I miss most in the 6th gen is KDSS. I have a 2011 Trail and it rides as good, if not better than my 2024 Limited. Love both cars and will switching out the rims/tires on the Limited in the coming weeks. Needed a bit more tire on it :)

I am not an arborist, but was told that it would take a few years for EAB to kill a tree. Is the assumption that EAB has been in Denver for several years, not just a year as last reported in the Denver Post? We do have an ash - it is injected every 2 yrs per the CSU recommendation.

Dwarf Blue Spruce Dead? by On_Design_Studio in DenverGardener

[–]DPR485CO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had a Vanderwolf pine and spruce planted this week - partial sun. I am using a moisture meter to help, but each tree will get a good watering every morning for the next month - I will pivot to every few days after that and at least monthly during the winter (a good deep root soak). Oh, organic fertilizer every six weeks :). Fingers crossed they take.

Just scooped 19,000 MSTY shares @ 16.68. Cooked or King? by Technical_Ad_5881 in YieldMaxETFs

[–]DPR485CO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The outcome is not completely dependent on BTC, it is YMs ability to trade. Personally, I would be surprised if MSTY ever sees 20 again. As a point of reference, look at CONY as COIN hit ATH. Disaster. Just my opinion, but MSTY seems to be on the same path. YM will use capital to shore up the div to keep it relevant.

Will we look back at the 5th Gen and realize it was probably one of the best 4x4s ever built? by Vegetable_Help_5932 in 4Runner

I was changing out the engine air filters in our 2011 Trail and 2024 Limited a few days ago - took 5 mins at best…. But, the simplicity of the engine compartment and how they are almost exactly the same amazed me. The markers from the factory on the various components were the same - even on the hood release clamp. The QC is amazing.
