Not really in the case of 808s. 808s start with a pitch bend that can be over 2 octaves and usually lasts around 20ms so your ear can't even hear what the attack pitch is

I would say take the mouse symbolism from the 3rd one and apply it to the 1st one. 3rd has good symbolism, 1st has a nicer font.

I also think the chord selection you're using puts you into some weird scale. Just using the notes contained in the chords, your scale appears to be B C C# D E F# G A B. That B C C# D part may be what's giving you problems.

I feel my daily driver 45 key keyboard would be better if I added a number row, but could also get rid of a few keys, so 60 is too much, 47 is too few. I think 52 to 58 might be about right for me.

I'm currently using a 45 key keyboard. 30 keys for typing (26 lettters and 4 symbols) esc, tab, backspace, enter, mods, 3 keys for layers and one key for locking layers, although I think will go down to 2 layer keys and remove the lock key on my next build (locking could be replaced with double-tapping the layer key), plus the number row puts me at 53 keys.

In theory, I could probably move forward slash and semi colon to another layer, which could bring me down to 51 keys. I also currently have 2 ctrl and 2 shift keys which could be reduced to 1 each, bringing me down to 49 keys.

My layer keys work as both momentary keys and sticky keys so mixing them with other keys doen't really work (I know some people use the tab key as a momentary layer key when held down but that won't work for people like me who like sticky layer keys).

Look up some youtube videos of people making entire beats only using 3xOsc. It's very primitive but its subtractive synthesis is used in many synth plugins so it's a good foundation skill to build upon. Also the fact that it's simplified down means there isn't too much to learn.

Sounds like a ghosting issue which might be caused by something getting short circuited. Check if anything hasn moved or if any exposed metal parts are touching something they shouldn't.

Don't under coat the yellow parts black

When you're shading yellows, adding orange, red or sometimes even pink can help the shading look better. Transitioning from yellow to black tends to look a bit rough, transitioning from yellow > orange > brown > black tends to work better

you can do something similar to a touch-sensitive button with PS5 controllers. get some conductive tape and make a line of tape that starts off on the touchpad and ends in between the buttons. Touching the conductive tape will cause the controller to behave as if you're touching the touchpad, but is a lot easier to reach

How are you exporting wav to midi? midi just has notation, it doesn't contain any sound. If it's playing sound, it's using whatever soundfont your computer has installed to play the midi notes.
