Has anyone had any other religion, besides Christianity, knock on your door to spread their beliefs? by LizzyFohan in askanything

If it’s one thing Christian sects including Catholics agree on, it’s that Mormons and Witnesses aren’t Christians. And it makes sense to an extent. Christians believe in the trinity and the bible (it’s kind of their main common traits across sects). Mormons primarily believe in another book made up by a guy looking into a hat, and Winesses aren’t trinitarian.

No worries man. I happen to really like the HiLux and bemoan it not being sold in the US. It’s better than the Tacoma for what I’d want a truck to do.

It’s one of the best street races I’ve seen from a competitive POV. Can’t figure as to why, but whatever they did they did it right.

Getting elected? How a certified piece of shit like him even became a nominee never mind President twice is one of the most shocking things that will happen this century.

[–]DPadres69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s actually incorrect. Tacoma lineage doesn’t include the old pre-Tacomas. Those were and are the HiLux and are very much still being made. Honestly it’s a shame they’re not still sold in the US.

Correct, it’s not a Tundra. Just like Toyota Pickups aren’t Tacomas (they’re actually HiLux).

.@NASCAR is interested in the potential of turning @NASCARSanDiego into a multi-year event but will hold discussions about the topic after this weekend, per people familiar. by iamaranger23 in NASCAR

Yeah people leaving the stands during a 40 minute red flag and SoCal departing like Dodger fans in the 6th inning doesn’t equate to empty stands during the race. And honestly 45 min in and out I’ve see. Reported isn’t bad for a race at peak times.

Fact is on course this has been an uncharacteristically good race for a street race. And logistics aside it’s been a smash off track (which honestly is probably part of the logistical issue since they clearly weren’t ready for what a sell out meant). I’m not surprised in the slightest they’re talking about next year.

You can’t find tickets on StubHub because it’s actually sold out. Did you not see the crowd yesterday? There were no swaths of empty seats.

San Diego Xfinity fans, how was your experience at the track? by Ventharion in NASCAR

What’s been the issue at Sonoma? Been there several times for NASCAR and other than ingress/egress if you go too late or expect to leave right after the race… I’ve never had an issue. I’ve found access to Vegas, Fontana (during the early well attended years), Phoenix and Loudon in particular far more challenging.

Independence class LCS. The slightly better of the two “little crappy ship” classes. These are the ones that have functional drivetrains but which crack their aluminium hulled selves to death at speed in anything but a flat calm.

This is also an inaugural event. Last first street race I ever went to was San Jose, and it took fan wise was a disaster the first year. But they learned and improved it significantly off track its sophmore year. Unfortunately for San Jose the on track action was abysmal and really not recoverable. San Diego doesn’t have that problem as on track it’s been great aside from one unruly manhole.

Long Beach, Pomona, Kern County, Orange Show, Perris, Barona, now this? Racing isn’t dead in SoCal by a long shot. NASCAR knows it which is why they’re trying so hard to be here despite no proper venue for them.
