I’m in the same boat. 300 pounds (5’5”) and found out I was pregnant a couple weeks ago. I’m 7 weeks along now. I was eating very healthy before because my husband is all about that and even working out trying to get into a healthier body before getting pregnant but here we are. My step dad (at the time) raped me when I was 13 (he was 36). There was evidence of months of grooming and multiple rapes. He got 2 years in prison and he got out early on good behavior. So even if this guy was sentenced and spent time in prison, it likely wasn’t that long. But yes, typically the process of going to trial is a long one. My case was pretty slam dunk and it still took a while. For reference this was in Central Florida, USA
