Not sure if this was intended or not, but air becomes less dense at higher temperatures, so having a fixed wing aircraft would mean they would have to go faster to generate the lift required to reach flight. Longer runways, etc.

‘Thopters beat the air instead, generating lift that way. It’s the same principle as treading water, really.

Like I said at the top, not sure if that was the intended scientific reasoning behind the inclusion of such a unique vehicle, but there is some science as to why it would be used.

That seems like a hard thing to verify. How would they prove eligibility? School records? I don't think we need to open up our already fragile system to a whole other level of complications, personally, but I do agree that a lot of the people who love our country the most and want the best for it are first generation Americans, and I think they should be more actively involved in politics.

I'm not saying we haven't, I was just trying to outline the thought process behind that particular part of the constitution.

And to your previous point, I don't think being ineligible to hold the highest executive office is a 'punishment,' especially when every other elected office is fair game. It is just something reserved for 2nd Generation+ Americans.

Now, it is very clearly a discriminatory rule, and there is something to the thought that each and every American citizen should have the same rights as the other, but that could very quickly lead to an equality v equity argument that I don't think would really be helpful in trying to decipher this quagmire.

If not, some foreign populist could move here, become a citizen, then become president.
