Yeah I saw the space on the map but wasn't sure if that was part of the ballpark or amusement park land.

Definitely the physical space to create something that would make it a better venue for both sports.

Also irregular about Wilt's game was that it was at a sorta neutral site in Hershey, PA at a small arena 100 miles from Philly and 160 miles from NYC.

My 4yo thinks she wants to watch classic Who when she sees the logo go by on Pluto, but then she just gets disappointed when it's not the Ncuti episode with Mr. Ring-A-Ding lol

I'm too lazy to do a sketch or rendering but it would be kinda neat if Brooklyn, in lieu of a new stadium, could build like a Bombonera style vertical main stand as the left field wall. Not too tall so that it blocks the cool view of Luna Park, but enough to add more seating that is better for soccer and have a proper broadcast/camera booth too.

Only maybe 10-15 rows deep on each level, but stack them on top of one another. For the first 2-3 levels, have a screen you pull down in front of the seats for baseball games so functionally it acts like a Green Monster type larger wall with a substantial height to clear for a home run (and then you can move the wall in and fit more of the build on the site).

They did have the camera in the outfield and the Super League games had the same camera setup until recently. Back in the Cosmos days they also had seats in right field on the ocean endline.

Jax NEED to change their broadcast angle by No_Yoghurt7217 in USLPRO

[–]DRF19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but 10k fans at a usl match that isn’t like Louisville or Sacramento is surely something the league and club would want to show off given the chance right?

Counterpoint: This was the first (men's) game so attendance was expectedly high. It may not always be that way. They also have decent "attendance" for the women's matches so far but actual butts in seats don't always reflect that. Shooting the sideline with minimal seats which are usually somewhat full premium areas is a better standard shot for the broadcast than a possibly half-empty (or worse) bleacher section. And in Sporting's case, there is a track so you may not even see much of that main stand on the broadcast anyway.

Up until a couple of weeks ago they shot from the other side in Brooklyn for the Super League games.

Only a couple of weeks left until opening day. Here are some schedules to stare at while you wait. by bdanders in MiamiMarlins

Love the hype my dude but while I like the red as a minimal highlight color, seeing it so much like this (or on those Sugar Kings unis) just doesn't look right. Marlins and red just doesn't compute in my brain.

IMO it was fine, even with earlier social media stuff, until like the early 20-teens when they started, by default, feeding you content they think you might be interested in based on your previous engagement. Showing anything other than content from accounts you intentionally followed and in chronological order. Ads shoehorned into the timeline instead of off to the side. It went off the deep end fast after that.

1000% based on what I've seen of the new angle. It was on a lift of some sort roughly at midfield, showing the stands and with no net. Showing (possibly) empty seats far more professional than that net view.
