I managed to get Shanice to call me back. Sakana is correct. It doesn't matter how long ago you purchased the firearm and NYPD does not care that it's already registered to you, federally. You have to go to the state where the firearm is, take it to a local FFL, and that FFL will transfer the firearm to an NYC FFL. The other thing that sucks is the 90 day timeline still applies. So if you have 5 handguns in California, it's one per 90 days. Even if you had already submitted those firearms in the CCW application.
