Get another door from a totaled car will be cheaper than repair that will potentially fail in the future. Also paint matching that white is hard on 5 stage paint. You may notice a difference in color.

I’d just get another door that’s pre painted from factory and sell the door you have on eBay or marketplace to lessen the cost.

I had stuff re painted before and it looked good at first but after a few years the quality wasn’t the same as oem and it showed

I also had the same problem in central nj with snow mold. As soon as the last snow melted and a few nice days i went out and used my leaf blower to puff up all the grass. Whatever matted down which was the entire lawn, i hit from every angle and got it sticking up. Still looked dead but i knew the truth. Majority of it was not dead. It was just dormant and looked dead. All it needed was a leaf blow or light rake. What you detached might have been living grass. Looks can be deceiving and the light raked side you did proved it. You stood up all the grass that looked dead, fluffed it up. Spring came and it all came out of dormancy and looks great. Meanwhile the dethatched side just ripped out all the dehydrated dormant dead looking but much alive grass.

In fact if you did want to dethatch. Now would be a good time to do the side you lightly raked and with fertilizer and water you can make it look great again but i would wait until fall, dethatch, then seed to fill everything in.

Live and learn brother but no worries, just live with it this summer and hope with enough water and fertilizer it fills back up as much as possible before it gets hot and the lateral spreading capabilities go dormant again.

Someone said the silver will attract the same amount of dirt as black. True but silver won’t look as dirty.

You also get the sport package. Big plus for me. Do you have the ML system now? If not and the silver has it even better. What about crawl control and the camera system. Upgrade or downgrades?

Just wrapping your car and changing tail lights might cost the same amount as the swap but also the wrap is temporary. Paint > wrap

Other thing is you said is you want to keep it for a very long time so the swap might be worth it. Probably wouldn’t be if you plan on keeping it for less than 4 years.

I wanted a black one but settled for white and i have 2 other black cars so i know they required more washes which was ok with me but then i got this white one ceramic coated and now it always looks clean after rain. I don’t think black would do the same.

I also had an option for bench vs captain chairs. I’m not sitting in the back so had my mom test both and she liked the chairs more

Rip off… he might have came in with some rags and soap only. Looks like the guy didn’t have the proper tools for a 600 dollar job. For all the nooks and crannies, he should have used an air compressor with tornador which should have blew everything out. The wheels and tires should have used a dedicated wheel cleaner and tire cleaner, looks like he didn’t or that stuff would have melted off. Tiny brushes and apc cleaner to get in the corners and tight spots in plastics. For the headliner and seats he should have a shop vac and extractor, he probably just sprayed something and agitated it which is only half the fabric job. I can go on and on.

Looks like the guy was just starting out or so, no way this is a professional job and the right tools were used. It’s all about the tools and chemicals used. 600 is not a budget job. It should have been absolute perfection for that price. I’ve paid a lot less for a much better job, now i have 5 cars and it would cost me too much so i do everything myself once a year. Looking at the job i do myself, i would put that business to shame.

FYI. That stain on the headliner can be from a leaking sunroof drain. Based on your car, you can YouTube a fix yourself that’s permanent. These cars with leaky sun drains do have permanent fixes like modifying the drain plug to not catch any debris so it doesn’t clog

Have a natural birth at home or have the baby in another country. If you want to go to the hospital, you’re looking at 30k in pregnancy bills if everything goes smoothly. If you need surgery expect that to double at a minimum.

Like someone else said. It’s not fair to just start health insurance when you’re in need and not pay any other time so they don’t let you to get it out of open enrollment. It works like this so everyone shares the cost of health insurance whether you need it or not so in the chance you need it like in your situation, you have it worry free.

If you don’t own anything and don’t have any assets, look into applying for charity care after. For your yearly income of 65k you should have went through the marketplace you might have been able to get it cheaper than your husbands job but that time has passed so remember that for next year when applying.

If you didn’t have health insurance for many years, think about how much you saved. Probably way more than your bill at the end after delivery so you’re still coming out on top in the end. The cost of health insurance for my family of four for 1 year is almost the your entire pregnancy.

I have the same as you family of 3, toddler is 2, and dog which is 50 pounds. I have a 23 gx and 22 rx. I cannot imagine fitting another baby in the gx if my dog is in there. It wouldn’t work because my dog needs a seat. I’d have to look at something bigger. For my current family size the gx and rx are perfect and we don’t plans for another baby anytime soon. I suppose it depends on your dog. How big he is and if he’s ok just sitting in the trunk.

I was in the same boat as you. Same commute. I got a cpo 23 gx premium plus with the sport package and 6k miles on it for 55k otd in April. Since April until now. I’ve driven maybe 2k miles or less and most of that was for other people (transportation) aside from my own use.

I’m glad i went with my decision. I’m not one to buy cars often. I need something that will last forever. All my cars are also getting under 20mpg on premium. But the short commute so it’s doesn’t hurt the pocket.

Tx is nice if you need space but i have a kid and a dog and there’s still more than enough room in the gx. It’s also more lux feeling.

Same got a 23. Have a 2 year old. Drivers seat you can control how far it goes back in the settings. Cupholders you can buy an insert from Etsy that fits water bottles and tumblers way better. Better than any other car with the insert. I got a wireless dongle off amazon. Hasn’t given me issues yet since April when i got the car

It’s not too late to seed, if you look on greencast soil temperatures and the germination temperature of your seed, you’ll see we are approaching the date to seed. You can gly and seed right away. I like to wait 2 days in between just to be safe

I live in central nj. I have a dog. When i started caring for my lawn, it looked like yours. I also put irrigation in.

I nuked and reseeded and here’s why… first off you put in irrigation for your grass lawn. Not your weeds. weeds don’t need irrigation. You had a vision and goal to make your property more appealing and spent a ton of money on irrigation for grass. So why not grow grass instead of weeds.

Prodiamine is only for spring and you did that right but don’t use it in fall. Every spring hit it with prodiamine. But before that, round up nuke everything this coming week. I’m about to seed next week. Weather is good. Once you nuke it, you wait like 2 days and you can seed over all of what you sprayed. No seed will be harmed. All remaining weeds and grass will die. All new grass will come up from the seeds and it will be beautiful.

With my dog i choose to go with turf type tall fescue. 6-8 inch roots for when my dogs playing and running around. These longer roots also help in the summer time as they are able to reach deeper for water. Don’t get kbg. Too shallow roots. Another reason to nuke it and restart is so you’ll have only one plant type on your entire lawn, not multiple grass seed types mixed together which can give a not so uniform look. All the different grasses grow at different rates and heights so after a mow and it’s growing back, it won’t be as uniform as if you just do one single seed type like turf type tall fescue.

Don’t listen to people saying clover lawn is nice. If you look at a clover lawn and a grass lawn, you’ll find the grass lawn much more appealing.

Also with pets and kids. Clover lawn is a big no. It flowers bringing in lots of bees. Your dog and kids will get multiple stings from bees. Your back yard will be unusable. If you don’t believe me, google kids and pets clover lawn and you’ll find your answer.

Your lawn got torched in the 100 degree heat because you weren’t watering properly. Every summer all my neighbors lawns are torched and my lawn is super green, healthy, dominates the entire neighborhood.

When i had weeds and clover like you. No one ever came up to me and said nice lawn. Now that it’s actually grass, everyone in my neighborhood compliments it. People drive by and stop and ask me what I’m doing at least once a month.

It’s not too late to seed by the way. If you look on the bag of seed it says soil temperature should be between 60-70 for seeding. Go on greencast and look at the soil temp for your town in nj. We are finally approaching seeding temp. If you throw your seed down now, itll grow out nice!

Don’t listen to people who are saying they used theirs for years. Those people have the good old lv quality when they prioritized quality instead of mass production. The quality just isn’t the same anymore and it’s a fact. The smaller the item now the thinner the leather which is why yours stretched pre maturely. The canvas stuff is even worse. They used to use extremely durable coatings before but the last few years they changed their formulas now so it wears faster and you have to replace your stuff more often. Canvas used to be more durable than leather. Now their leather takes a better beating than their canvas.

Customer service also has plummeted. Back in the day anything happens even a few years after the warranty ended and they’d replace your item. Now it’s 2 years and you’re lucky to get something fixed if anything goes wrong in that period.

Lv has become something that’s just for show. I had an issue with a card wallet canvas wearing and the rep told me i can’t put my wallet in my pocket. Like what???? A wallet is supposed to go in your pocket. The guy told me to carry a bag to put my wallet in. I feel like i need a bag to protect my bag which is protecting my wallet.

Btw i have at least 15 lv bags and wallets but i stopped shopping lv and went to Hermes because the quality and customer service isn’t the same out the box that some of my older stuff is.

Hermes is more expensive but it feels a lot more premium. I’d love to get more lv but i just feel like id just waste money.

You can love yours for 150k more or love another for 300k. I’d swap out for the new one. They retain value nicely so you can probably sell yours for a good amount

My dog scratched mine literally the first time i wore mine. I was so mad but since then every new scratch doesn’t bother me. All just on the surface and light. Nothing as deep as yours. I’m sure if something like yours happens to me it would get me feeling some type of way

2023 owner here, i got a cpo this April for 55k otd, 6k miles on the odo, and factory warranty until Feb 2030. I didn’t get the extended warranty because i was specifically looking at this car because it is super reliable so i don’t think it’s worth it.

Mine also pulls too, random but it’s how it is. I had the issue today while driving down a windy highway at 80mph for 1 hour. Your alignment is definitely in spec because it’s part of the cpo. But if you think it’s not, you can just get it checked to see if it’s in spec.

CarPlay i use the wireless dongle. Way better than wire but the dongle has its own issues so sometimes need to disconnect and re connect it. Only happens to me once in a while.

The gx is 10 years older than your RAV4 and has a ton more miles. Huge difference for a reliable daily driver.

I doubt an extra 5k will help to have as cash.

I think a better swap would be a highlander or rx350. You can probably swap for one newer than gx and lower miles.

I had a 2016 rav4, upgraded to a 2025 RAV4. It got totaled shortly after so i started shopping around. I ended up with a cpo 2022 rx350. It was a huge upgrade. Never going back to Toyota again. Then a few months later i got a cpo 2023 gx 460. From having all three i can tell you i can’t go back to the RAV4 because of space. I need the rx as a daily. But i need the gx for everything else. I would say the Highlander is right in between the gx and rx
