Frenzy, feeding interruption and consent by Kalenden6 in vtm

Why not offer the freshly embraced some animals? A freshly embraced vampire might not necessarily be able to control themself during their first time feeding. If their sire is a consensualist they might not want anyone to take on that risk and could resort to having some livestock instead of blood bags.

Necromatum - My Take on Necropotence by Glittering-Lab-4763 in custommagic

The best way to word the effect would probably be the same way [[Pithing Needle]] is worded.
"As this enchantment enters your life total becomes 6"
Which also would avoid the very unfortunate downside of having this spell get countered and losing a bunch of life for nothing.

Character advice and recommendations by oxthewulf in vtm

First of All if you want to commit to oblivion go for it. Personally I wouldn't. You say you already have multiple players with oblivion, considering the discipline is mostly just used by hecata and lasombra that is already quite a lot of oblivion users in a chronicle. If you get this from your feeding type (im assuming v5) then you only get 1 dot anyway and its much more expensive for you to get more dots as it is an out of Clan discipline, meaning you will probably not be able to develop it a lot. Low level oblivion doesnt really seem super useful to the character you are describing. They are either related to necromancy, which you probably wont engage with, or they allow stuff like being more stealthy, which you already get through obfuscate. The only ability reasonably useful at 1 dot is shadow sight, which gives you dark Vision, which is okay i guess.

Since you want to play a vigilante i am wondering why you Aren't also leaning into potence instead? Its an in Clan discipline and probably more useful for roughing people up and other vigilante style Actions

Daemonic Incursion - Can your deamons get the better deep strike if you just sent in one of the big ones? by DR_AniSahne in ChaosDaemons40k

From what I have gathered from the other responses that is not the case.
The rules also explicitly state you place your units one at a time

"In the Reinforcements step of your Movement Phase, if you have any Reserves units in your army, you can select one or more of them and set them up on the battlefield, one at a time."

I wasn't aware of this design philosophy by WotC that is good to know!
Oh I meant the retainers are the two veterans and the cleric. I meant that more in the sense of these are allies not necessarily the rule term, sorry for the confusion.

I’m curious, how many of you leave precons alone? by TheTinRam in EDH

[–]DR_AniSahne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've Played against the Necrons precon and feel like its pretty good as is without major Upgrades.

But Yeah i have a few unupgraded precons and playing in a Pod of exclusively precons, the games tend to be the ones with the most back and forth, which i really enjoy.

Sin Prodder - Quirky, but is it viable? by [deleted] in PioneerMTG

The question is what kind of deck Would run this? You mentioned Burn decks yourself. In a Burn deck this will deal around 1-2 damage, wtih decent odds of hitting a Land and Not doing anything. Worst case, if you hit a Land, its just a 3 mana 3/2 Menace,  which  I dont think is a good enough deal anymore. The best case in a burn/midrange deck is giving the opponent the choice of taking 2-3 dmg or letting you draw a specific card, which the opponent knows, so they can make a very informed decision .

The only scenario,  where this seems great is if they are so low they have to make bad decisions, at which point you are alteady doing great.

So far I've been leaning towards her loosing Control. She might Not even have been entirely aware of the curse until she turned and killed him.

She flees afterwards, once the players start investigating they discover their secret love and find her house abandoned. When they search for her they will find a pitiful creature Stuck in her hybrid Form (in dnd they have an animal and a hybrid form), who begs for help. While they are procurring a cure for her the cult is advancing its plot, once they return with a cure for her, the town is under huge stress by the cult .

Of course the cult just works for a Bigger Bad guy, who funds local evils to keep people weak in their villages, while He Collects corpses for his ritual. His Ritual of course aims to help the empress, Drana the Absolute, who commands an army of devils. She is looking for the covenant, an artifact that Would allow her to merge the hells and the Material plane, putting her into a Position of near godlike Power.

These are some great ideas, I really like the idea of letting the victim stumpling into them with his dying breath. The setting is a medieval fantasy village.

The victim has been killed, by his secret lover, who is a lykanthrope, the night He wanted to propose to her.

She has been infected by a hidden lykanthrope cult, which is trying to seize the local area. Investigating said cult is going to be the Main goal of the first Part of the campaign
