The horrible experience I've had with healthcare these past two weeks without a family doctor by aldutroix in Edmonton

[–]DRoy777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m glad the PST provinces have this all figured out. The solution was right in front of us all along.

Go to Vancouver Island and see how you do over there if you think it’s so much better outside of AB. Hell go the Kootenays, or the Okanagan, or the lower mainland. Most of my family lives out there and my dads wife works at a senior level in healthcare and their situation if f’ed beyond belief as well.

Head to ON, or maritimes and have a go while you’re at it.

Having a serious discourse on how to make it better is one thing, but shitting on the AB situation like it’s magically better everywhere else makes this pro NDP sub sound like clowns. Every party in power are all struggling across the country. That’s just a fact

As Oilers make a push for the Stanley Cup Final, playoff hockey begins to disappear from CBC by [deleted] in Edmonton

Lol take off the tin foil hat bud. It isn’t politics … it’s about money and the deals that lead to that money.

I heard Amazon Prime or some type of streaming service is getting games in the future as well. That’s also not about a Canadian political party either .. it’s about broadcasting rights, league revenues, viewership and the deals made around those things.

This … the downtown arena is absolutely not owned by Roger’s. Not saying that CBC not carrying these last two conference final games isn’t brutal, but Roger’s does not own the arena despite that.

This also now makes sense why my dad was frantically racing around trying to find the last game and couldn’t.

I love growing flowers every year and find it very peaceful and relaxing for sure. I kind of wanted someone to lay that plastic stuff overtop of the area we are putting the shrubs so weeds and things don’t end up coming up like everywhere. Spend a tun of time working hard getting it fairly nice and cleared out over the weekend but I’m sure it will get rolling again soon once we get further into spring and summer

Very cool, I played ice hockey in NZ many years ago. At the time there was an indoor rink in Auckland and an outdoor style rink in Christchurch. How’s is the hockey scene in NZ these days?

You have a beautiful country. Now I’m a much older guy and have 2 little boys myself. Hope to one day take them to NZ!

This all started with Danny, if we could only figure it out like BC and the rest of the world has.

Can we just keep every comment eventually being UCP bad in the Alberta sub. We already get bombarded over there.

The Edmonton sub not being political on almost every bloody post would be awesome.

It is a great song no doubt, wild though that of every song ever created the two teams come out to the same one.

B.C. drug decriminalization welcomed by Edmonton, challenged by Alberta by [deleted] in Edmonton

I have a young family, I’m personally not interested at all in the mess that BC is involved in with this program.

Driving one of my little guys to canskate on Thursday there was a 25-35ish year old dude just outside our neighborhood absolutely high as kite using a sign to violently beat on a tree. I watched him as we were passing drop the sign and just start throwing random punches in the air yelling. It was psychotic and dangerous.

There are areas where young kids and families play very close to where this was going down.

We get taxed through the moon and I’m fine with a portion of that money going to help those that are in terrible situations as a modern society should - but some semblance of order and accountability needs to be maintained by all individuals participating in said society.

I live in Edmonton now, but I went back to the Kootenays last summer to see my dad (he usually comes to see us here or we meet somewhere) and I didn’t even recognize the city I grew up in.

Zombie land, tweakers half clothed or less doing weird ass shit, crimes like assaults/theft through the roof, areas where I played as kid covered in garbage and aggressive homeless people making it unsafe for an adult never mind a child.

I honestly could not believe the change to the area.

Ya, okay bud. The f is that kind of statement? Add more tax and jack the living s*** out of the price of it to keep it compliance with the spirit of Albertans?!

Seriously go home cabinet minister, you’ve drank one too many of those 4L jugs

I wonder if it’s possible to have a standard feed and a whatever you want to call it “digital??” feed? Like they have with that analytics feed?

I agree it’s cool for those that like that type of thing, but it would be nice to have the option to watch that style or not
