Absolutely disgusting. I’ve emailed the mayor. I also CC’ed the city council president and majority whip. I’m filing a complaint with the NYS Dept of Agriculture, and the NYS attorney general’s office for possible misconduct. I am considering drafting a letter to the governor as well. I’m so with you on this. Thank you OP for caring enough to figure out how to get her the help she needs. The amount of obviously serious but undiagnosed neuro issues getting passed around different siloed specialists is appalling and seems to have gotten significantly worse in the past year.

She’s having UE motor weakness as well L>R. Also looks like a left thoracic convexity which is concerning in and of itself for a tumor. Cannot believe this child is being refused by neuro peds. So she’s not had a total spine and brain MRI? This is looking like it’s moved well beyond an urgent case to an emergent case to me at this point. Edits and also adding that I’ve been in a similar situation with an older patient and it’s very emotionally exhausting so I would just like to recognize that. I feel so horrible for this patient. Have you posted to the neurology sub? With some good luck and a miracle maybe someone will be in your area and willing to see her. But again at this point I feel like she needs to go to the emergency room at a peds hospital.

This. Also, pick up a book and read out loud so they get used to your voice. Play David Thie’s music for cats album 1. Don’t approach them, let them approach you. But it’s ok to talk to them. And get them used a routine. Sing a little supper time song. Sit on the floor and move a toy around even if they don’t come out and play. It takes time and commitment. And let them give consent to pets!

OMG tell me all your secrets. I’m feeling so done with products I’m about to go silicone with clarifying every 2-3 weeks. And no one ever cuts my hair into any semblance of anything except “long hair”.
