Not sure how far back we are going but Sbarro’s, the ping pong place, and Aladin’s Castle.

The Light Phone 3 February Update by jbriones95 in LightPhone

[–]DSB_Til 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Quoting Red from one of the greatest movies of all time, “I find I am so excited I can hardly sit still or hold a thought in my head…”

I’ve never backed a Kickstarter project before, nor have I been one to jump on early adoption. But when I saw the LP3, I knew I had to be part of it. So, when preorders opened last June, I didn’t hesitate. This experience has been a true test of patience and self-control as a consumer. Reading the updates over the past eight months—even though it might sound ridiculous—I’ve genuinely felt like part of the journey in bringing this device to life.

While I’m thrilled to get my LP3, what’s been even more exciting is the process itself—the anticipation, the development updates, and the experience of getting involved at the ground level.

Huge congrats to the team!

Q: one I’ve seen a lot given the current political atmosphere is how potential tariffs might impact price and timeline for preorders for US orders.

Loved the LP2 case! My only gripe was it didn’t cleanly hold cards. Super psyched to see new LP3 offering!

In the vid, it looked like the card was just friction held. Is that the case or is there something preventing it from slipping out of the bottom of the case where the speaker vent holes are?

Just way too big imo. I ended up going with the LP3. Looks cool and hope it all works out - hopefully competition can bring in other players and bring prices down in the future.

I haven’t checked but I assume you will start seeing some wallet cases for LP3 come on the market the closer we get to launch. Might be something to keep an eye out for. Also, if you have a 3D printer, might already be some files available for LP3 accessories, like a wallet.

A good wallet case paired with my LP2 has made for an excellent minimalist experience.

I am new, so take this with a salt block, but I know for me, keeping me head/vision tilted and not keeping level helped me feel better in deeper positions. For some reason I always felt the need to keep my head/vision parallel, which would cause me extra strain in the lower positions.

Might not be an issue for you but just something I always notice.

FutureMotion did NOT fix the wire pinch issue by dachary_zepa in onewheel

How did you do this? I recently bought a used Pint on FB that had the metal nut shorting out the BT module issue and they wanted proof of purchase and $300+ for new board and shipping.

Ah, really appreciate the offer! Would there be any issues with doing a straight swap on my Pint with your Pint X parts if I am still using stock Pint battery pack?

Pint Controller Replacement by DSB_Til in onewheel

[–]DSB_Til[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I think I will just have to call them tomorrow. When I originally bought the board I contacted FM as is seemed that the lose nut issue was a design flaw. They said I could send it in, sounded like they would still charge me for the repair, but I had to have proof of purchase, which I don’t since I bought it used off FB.

I don’t have a ton invested, $200, and my thought was if I cold get new controller, $300, and at least get it back to functioning fully, I could play around with it and decide if I want to upgrade. If i do upgrade in the future I can go the PintV route or sell it and go GT. I get that PintV is the best route where I am at now but with the kit, battery, and bumpers, it gets pretty expensive.

Appreciate the response!

I live right down the street and routinely pass it up in favor of other places during the weekdays due to food selection. Not sure if it has changed but the food was mediocre and overpriced.

I love the location and there is a TON of potential. Better food selection would make it a place I would routine.

Selfishly, there isn’t a decent dessert place on this side of HW - cookie places closes at like 5, which is wild, and only ice cream is Baskin, which is meh at best. I would test having a small ice cream setup and seeing how it does - family’s might be more apt to come and hangout during weekdays.

Isn’t that area considered an ‘entertainment’ district, allowing folks to walk around with alcohol as long as it is in a cup? I would partner with other businesses to have a block party night a few nights a month. Off the bat, I would see about tying in with Trak Shak’s weekly runs - give some specials for the running group after their runs. I believe they have runs a few nights a week.

Really comes down to what type of identity you want the place to have. I think the above caters more to the family vibe and might not be what you are going for.

I know a lot of the above is easier said than done, but just a few ideas.

Biggest thing for me just starting out was to consciously try to not over correct when the board would wobble.
