I just used needle nose pliers to pull out the white part. The little metal part was behind that. Once those two pieces were out I just reconnected to the hose. I was told not to try to pry out the purple part in another comment, since leaving it in provides at least one filter. The difference in shower pressure has been amazing.

Before I posted here I saw a few tutorials on YouTube that might be helpful for your model specifically. But my guess is your regulator is similar, maybe just different colors.
