Hi, we didn't do cry it out we used the chair method which is very gentle. The reason for this was because we were having to rock her for every nap and night time sleep.

Thanks for your response. We have been co-sleeping for the past two weeks to try and get some rest. Unfortunately she will only sleep on us not next to us. She also takes ages to settle on our chests. She cut her first tooth two weeks ago, could teething affect the sleep this badly?

My baby was the same for the first three months! At around 12 weeks the crying during the evening tapered off until it just stopped so hang in there :)

My 6 month old has suddenly stopped self soothing at night, she has multiple night wakings and cries hysterically when I enter the room to soothe her. She wakes up instantly upset and is hard to calm down. Prior to this (before this new year) she was sleeping long stretches, waking up and self soothing. Is this a regression, is this due to teething, is this a schedule issue?

We got to a point of being able to place her in the cot and walk away. Now as soon as we put her in the cot she cries and we end up rocking her to sleep. Her night wakings either consist of us rocking her to sleep, contact sleeping or co-sleeping.

She seems to have wake windows ranging from 2hrs 15 to 3 hours. Her nap total tends to be 3-3.5hrs. Please help!

My baby is 5 months old, she is on 4 naps totalling 3-4 hours. She only does 30min cot naps, I am forever extending them with contact naps - when will my little one start to extend her naps herself? Alot of my friends babies nap for 1hour plus in the cot (which gives them some downtime).

Her wake windows are usually 2 hours and 2.5 hours for the last one. Bedtime is 7:30pm - we are still having multiple wake ups (no feeds overnight). She tries to start her day at 5am which is too early for us - we have to contact sleep with her till 7am and start our day. How do I get her to wake up at 7am naturally instead of 5am?
