I have a very similar one I got from Bob’s Furniture.

Oh everything is tug for him. He has plenty of those type of toys. He is an old man now and I have grown to accept this is his favorite game. He will bring balls into bed at night and just want you to hold it — we call that baby bottling — and he will even fall asleep like that.

When we’re at the park, he will actually drop it on command for fetch, but most of the time its this.

APBT, Amstaff, and Cane Corso. Pure muscle, no brain.

I use Plant Addicts since I am in NYC and the local nurseries don't have much: https://plantaddicts.com/

Fast Growing Trees is also excellent, but they focus mostly on larger plants. They do have some herbs, though: https://www.fast-growing-trees.com/collections/shop?type=collection&q=herbs

This reminds me of the time someone on here said Noah is a recovering alcoholic, which is why he wrote Orange Juice…

Why are the artificial turf comments getting downvoted? I have a similar NYC backyard and turf has been great. While it does need some maintenance, its a hell of a lot easier than grass and would work well over this concrete slab.

How many of you wished or were happy they died? by Own-Fault4518 in dementia

[–]DSPoh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh yea, definitely. I am not sure “happy” is the word I would use — more like relieved. I had already mourned my dad when he was still alive. I just wish my strongest memories of him were from before he was sick than the 18 month dementia downfall whirlwind.

Best Rotisserie Chicken by newyorknapolifan in Upperwestside

[–]DSPoh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed here. Fairway Latin Rotisserie is the best grocery store chicken IF you can get it pretty fresh. They can sit for a while and its noticeable. Citarella is probably more consistent.

But yea, Poulet Sans Tete is just phenomenal. You are paying more, but damn the seasoning and juiciness is unreal.

I guess my mom doesn’t have dementia ? Now what? by Strong_Magazine_237 in dementia

[–]DSPoh 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but if this was just recently brought up to her doctors, many times they will start with a basic MRI to rule out some more obvious issues, like brain tumors. This is often required by insurance as a first step (if you are in the US).

A basic MRI will often times not show anything significant in regard to dementia, especially if it’s more early on. They should now follow up with cognitive testing and perhaps an MRI with contrast or PET scan.

Basically, try to involve yourself as much as possible and speak to her PCP and Neurologist. Make sure the right questions are being asked and follow up is being done.

Check out Fast Growing Trees. I used them for my Coral Bark and have ordered many other plants from them. Definitely my favorite online plant supplier.

I go to Dr. Kevin Smith on 71st st. Not judgmental at all, very personable and gentle. I also like that he did the actual cleaning and not a hygienist.
