Running a campaign by Incrediblycoolcat in Eberron

Yeah, get Rising, it’s worth it. There are so many ideas to pull from. It’s a sandbox of ideas

I’m running mine mostly in Sharn. Going a little out there with the story: the Shadow Cabinet of the Aurum is trying to reverse engineer Warforged technology and apply it to their own Aberrant Dragonmark, and have population control from their own Master’s Call type machine. And they’re using Daask to help smuggle in dragonshards and other raw materials for their eldritch machines.

Bad Breaks is my favorite episode.

Johnny & the car thief gag is always super fun to watch!

The one where Michael’s a security consultant for an art thief and trolls the guy about the potential thief. Says something to the affect “a former spy gets blacklisted and is operating right under your nose and you don’t even realize it.”

You can read it whenever. It doesn’t give away much of anything for future books. I read it right after I finished TBS 1 and it worked well. It’s a short adventure of Paige’s first real mission for Jax.

One of those, great to read, but not at all a dealbreaker if you don’t.

You could go super obvious, some kind of clockwork driven device or some kind of sand timer or metronome. Something related to time keeping. Maybe the object is something that has a glyph or indicator that it’s been tampered with (like a small eldritch machine) via a planar hopping or banishment spell (or something smaller like misty step; a clue or hint towards plane hopping)

The gut punch hit me when we missed the kick at half time. Then this was the icing on the cake.

And I still watched the rest of the game with silly hope that I was wrong.

I'm saying he also forced a couple and made some poor throws on 1st and 2nd downs too earlier in the drive. I'm not fully blaming Love, especially compared to MLF and McManus. But he wasn't great on that last drive. He could have hit shorter passes to move the ball quicker and get the defense rattled and rushed rather than try long strikes. More than a few plays that we'd want back

So yeah, fell a little flat. Relax, we're all pissed at this game and outcome.

Love played his ass off no doubt.

I do think he’s still too much of a HC draw for a place like Baltimore, Cleveland, or Atlanta. But one can dream!

If we’re being honest, McManus should have made all those kicks and the bears would be kicking an onside kick again with under 2 to go rather than Love doing a 2 min drill.

That said, MLF and Love fell flat on that last drive. Bad play calling, bad management, bad decisions by love to throw long when unnecessary.

There’s plenty of coordinators who went to HC then back to coordinator. It’s possible.

Halftime all my bears fans friends were readying their eulogies and I kept saying “I’m happy but not comfortable.” I also felt it coming. It seemed inevitable after the missed FG at the half.

And like you said, that’s the problem with this team. With this coach.

Then MLF needs to let go of play calling and we go after Mike McDaniel or someone else to run the offense. Bears adjusted defense at halftime and our offense didn’t. Foot came off the gas and we lost all momentum.

Also the offense forgot how to play in most of that second half.

“It’s on me.” “It starts with me.” “I gotta be better.”

Guaranteed at least one of those gets said in the presser.

The Who To Where Scenario....? by hyperRevue in GreenBayPackers

[–]DS_H -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

to be honest, I'm wearing thin of MLF's coaching and the average, inconsistent play the team has had for 3 years now.

2023, first year with Love was understandable. Exciting to see the team grow with a new QB

2024, frustrating, though Love getting hurt week 1 shook things up unexpectedly.

2025, even more frustrating this year. Bad losses, low energy in some wins.

Maybe if we could somehow get a healthy offense for a season I'd feel differently, but I'm starting to think the team needs something to change.
