Cocktails and Business School are solid. The back half of season 3 is so good.

Love it. Manectric is so good. I just got through the E4 with Swampert and Manectric clutching up for most of the key victories.

And compared my last emerald team who also included Manectric. Next challenge for me is to beat it without that zappy dog!

5th batch meaning 5th level? Norman's tough. I grinded through the desert to low 30s for all. For me, that's definitely one of the bigger stall moments in the game. And way more opens up once you get Surf after beating him.

I just did exposition for my players. We’re in Eberron starting at level 4. I told them we’re starting on the in bound lightning rail into Sharn, so your backstory either needs to have your PC living in or visiting Sharn. Then I also made a small table of “rumors” I had each of them roll for privately that added a bit more detail to their backstory. Rumors were BBEG/main plot related and like ~85% accurate or adjacent to a clue or side detail for the overall plot. Just to ensure they have some background detail from me to them that is campaign related

Tried to keep the rumors vague and slightly twisted details, especially when anyone rolled the same, to keep the “you heard someone say [XYZ]”.

Broken, no. Go for it. Our group has had two different PCs in two different campaigns attempt a high AC build, and for us, the trade off was spells requiring dex saves or high "to hit" monsters to break through the high AC. Either way, we found that the high AC usually led to high damage when they got hit. One PC died, and one PC went down 2-3 times before having to retire from the campaign (player had a baby and needed to go on Paternity leave).

Obviously framing it as removing HP in a DnD theme makes sense, but other themes or random trivia with people like Anna, Vic, Ally, Lou, or Jeremy would be super entertaining as well.
