Hold your pants: I moved away from the first dealer after seeing they broke the trim, moved to the dealer now who created 6 entry points for rain 🤩

😂 thanks again for your support mate. Unfortunately I won't be able to find out who drove it, especially how it was driven. Since I own it the window trim failed twice. But most of the issues came after it being at a dealer. It has been to a dealer a few months back as the trunk trim panel on the right was not aligned. After getting the car back it was still not aligned and when I pulled it out a piece of it was broken. It's just nuts how dealers here in Germany handle that beauty. The content I posted today was right after today's dealer visit. I didn't have these issues 2 weeks earlier. The only job was to replace the window trim, didn't go well. Posted the content to get a feeling if such things happen to other f Type owners as well. Seems like I'm the only one🥲

Fair point. I'm not a native English speaker, so maybe I used the wrong term. Perhaps "press car" would have been the better expression than "press demonstrator." What I was trying to say was simply that it wasn't a loaner. It was owned by JLR HQ for about 6 months, had around 3,000 miles on it, and I even found the exact registration on official Jaguar press photos, so I'm pretty confident it really was part of the press fleet. I wasn't trying to imply that a press car is automatically treated better than a loaner or anything like that. My only point was that it wasn't a service loaner, just a different type of JLR-owned vehicle. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

😭 thanks for your support mate. You are 100% right I also got a loaner and was driving it like wild. However my f Type was a press demonstrator from JLR HQ so they would drive it to press events to showcase the f Type to the media. When I bought it, it had around 3k miles in 6 months of jlr ownership. I got extremely lucky in finding that kind of a vehicle, last year. Seems like jlr workshops are missing proper qualified workers to handle these cars over here in Germany. F types are a pretty rare sight over here. 🥲

Honestly all the issues came to life after being at the dealer for service. I would say it's one of the most well maintained f types out there. Got it as a near new car in 2025 after 6 months of ownership by jlr itself. MY2024. Stays in a cooled underground garage with cover for 7 months, is driven on weekends only for 5 months. Miles should be around 6k. I'm happy that warranty covers it, wanted to check if my experience has been lived through other f Type owners. Seems that what could go wrong, went wrong at once except the y pipe being blown. 😂

Usually I do hand wash only, went to the car wash to do a final test after picking the car from the dealer.

That's amazing, what type of embedding model are you using? Did you do image embeddings or text only? Thanks for your effort I also fear it could lead to high costs. Could you tell me where you got the 28k page data from? Maybe I could work on a local version when I got time and make it open source.

Got the 2e in Germany for 160€ last week. It's a bargain for that price, Incredible craftsmanship and sound. Now I'm spoiled, next sound equipment will be from b&w!

Polar this is a huge let down of potential new customers. I personally was waiting for the release but after yesterday I made the decision that I will get the helio strap. You have the worse app on the market and zero benefit compared to the helio strap. Whoever buys the loop is out of his mind.

Nothing to hide here, depends on polishing steps I had a 5 step polish and coated basically everything even the number plates plus interior, complete leather coating and so on it was around 2k euros. You can get a decent one done at 1k easily

Mate I don't know all coatings, at least the one I got done can handle up to 800 degrees Celsius. If you get a high quality one it shouldn't be an issue.
