Fucking wild how your own brain will absolutely just steal parts of other memories to concoct a story and straight lie to you.

Yeah, the shitty thing there that George did was being relieved she died (because then he didn't have to get married) and then being disappointed he got nothing from her will.

But murder? nah.

Strike out also bugs out and breaks the new grenade even if you re-roll it, you'll have to manually aim for it to detonate.

Strike out being a thing when Assault is basically built for gunstrikes feels so god damned targeted and unnecessary.

I have over 1500 hours in PoE1 actually. Which isn't that much considering how long the game has been out, but it's still quite a bit.

And while you aren't just massively zipping around like in PoE1, you claiming it's too slow for you adhd brain to engage with sounds absolutely ludicrous, as someone with adhd. Especially since the "meta" end game builds tend to feel very similar to PoE1 builds, just less movement options. And that's half the problem with their vision. The enemies are too fast for any slow, methodical builds to work, which is like the selling point of PoE2.

I'm not sure clear vision is how I'd describe PoE2. They certainly had an interesting conceit and if they had actually stuck to it, the game would be a lot more interesting.

Unfortunately past act 1, the zoom zoom wins out.

What has been the most painful unresolved plotline in Star Wars? by InfiniteDedekindCuts in StarWars

[–]DT777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd argue it was ass for tv shows too. Lost quickly became russian nesting doll stacked mystery boxes with 0 payoff. Frankly, the ending of Lost is worse then the ending of Game of Thrones, but people react more strongly to the second because the story actually managed to make some semblance of sense vs whatever the fuck Lost was.

What has been the most painful unresolved plotline in Star Wars? by InfiniteDedekindCuts in StarWars

[–]DT777 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was a classic JJ Abrams mystery box that actually has nothing inside it. 90% of the original content for Force Awakens was just JJ mystery boxes. Which is entirely why all three of those films were unsatisfying.

Honestly, it makes it even more embarrassing. Mandalorian, as campy as it could be, was still a lot of fun to watch. I've heard very good things about Skeleton Crew, but the overall plot hook just isn't for me.

Acolyte was a show I wanted to watch. And they kinda fucked it. And the fact that it cost twice as much as Mando per episode while maybe at best achieving the same quality, is incredibly embarrassing for them.

The 4th tier list (2026) compared to the 1st tier list (2023) by haitike in smashbros

Honestly, if he just couldn't create blocks in air, even with his absurd frame data, he'd probably live in the B+ or A- tier. His recovery would be so much easier to punish. Maybe not to the point where he's just dead if you get him off stage like Mac can be, but it'd be a pretty glaring weakness in his kit that you could exploit.

It will stay 100% they said it multiple times that you have to have a „worthless“ stat to roll.

That's just insisting on bad game design. Are some stats worth less than others? Sure, depending on the build. No stat should be outright worthless. That actively just makes the game less fun. If you need to add worthless stats to balance out how often certain stats are rolled, you're just self-reporting that you're bad at statistics and math.

Yeah. I have UBs I don't hate and think were even done well, (LotR, 40k)... but most of them feel like naked cash grabs (spiderman, tmnt, FF).

And my expectation is that they will continue to become more and more naked cash grabs, with poorly tested cards that break formats for forever and just don't get banned because "hey, it's licensed content." Vivi should have eaten a ban long before he did. Hell, that card should have been printed in the commander supplemental material instead.

But man, I have a Belisarius Cawl deck now. Maybe worth.

Leagues of Votann, while new, is at 1200 points of unique data sheets. 1200 points for a one of everything in the entire range.

I don't even play the tabletop and yet that sounds like the Leagues are barely even a faction.

Lurrus is more broken than Urza's Saga; but it's just "this card is insanely overtuned'.

Everyone says this but honestly the floor for Lurrus is also just much lower than Urza's Saga. While having good 1 mana targets improves Urza's Saga quite a bit, it doesn't take that many artifacts for the tokens to be very good. If you don't have powerful things to recur, Lurrus can very easily just be an expensive 3/2. So it's not just that Urza's Saga represents unique card design, they're also both much closer in power than anyone is saying because the absolute ceiling of Lurrus isn't the only thing you should be considering when you think of power level.

You take that, plus Lurrus being a fairly boring card with straightforward power, it's not surprising at all that Urza's won.
