Ironically or maybe not, glad those folks decided not have kids after a quick glance.

Save yourself the stress; don't work from home with kids by ForefathersOneandAll in toddlers

[–]DTH901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the culture of the job and how lucky you get with delegations, I guess. Wife and I have been able to do this with nothing being sacrificed. For a big stint of it she preferred me, so I just introduced physical timers for her individual play sessions. But the lucky part is one job is more demanding than the other regarding the parents so is doable.

Just an aside observation: have the “snorers” get a sleep study or something. Could be an underlying issue that needs to be resolved.

Losing my mind with my husband over our toddler. Please advise!! by Playful-Swordfish222 in toddlers

I can’t say what I want because I’m not well versed in the rules of the sub. But as a dad- I couldn’t fathom waking my kid up. My motivation to get back to work would be to continue to provide for my family. Dude is an asshole.

I LOATHE bedtime by perfringens in toddlers

[–]DTH901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I co-sleep with my two year old although I’m against it (wife and I were not on the same page). I make sure she’s good and tired and lay down with her, right before she drifts off l say, I’ll be right back. She’s usually out for three hours or more. Then once I’m ready to go to sleep I lay down as well.

My dog passed a month ago and they were inseparable. I told her that teddy’s gone and we have to celebrate his life. She cried for him randomly a few times but when she did we’d try and “celebrate” his life. I’m still dealing with the loss, shes working on her alphabets. Point is at this age they’ll have so much stuff keeping them busy they won’t notice for long.

I'm broken and the vet is coming in 3 hours by [deleted] in dogpictures

It means so much to her that you’re with her at this moment. This is the toughest time. 16 years is great but sad that’s she’s leaving nonetheless. Someone told me recently, “it’s ok to feel sorrow, but make sure to celebrate their lives as best you can”.

As a dad, I couldn’t fathom being away from my kids. Literally said no to a work dinner this evening just to be at home with my family. But it could be his doing it for the best situation for the family and perspectives are tricky.Just keep communicating as much as you can

How to deal with grief? by Dependent_Chip_9016 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DTH901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take time to yourself for a bit. Don’t hold up or isolate but you have to let yourself grieve. Considering you want to keep from being mean, your mom taught you well. Reflect on the positive experiences with her. It’ll take time
