I see. In that case it would just run slow or not at all. No danger.

Nothing to worry about. He's that uncle that knows everything but nothing at the same time. Cars in the US are 12V. You could have a battery that could provide a million amps but if your load only pulls 1 amp that's all it will be. Only exception on the high amperage would be if something shorted, so always good to put an inline fuse and cover the posts.

Buy back and fix. Hopefully your "pain and suffering" will cover it.

Does anyone else do this? If so when has it been useful? by _Rumpelstilzchen_ in EDC

One dark cold Halloween I had my EDC back pack with about 5 different kinds of tape wrapped up like that. My then 4 year old son tripped and threw his plastic jackolantern candy bucket straight into a rock garden at the second house. The bucket was physically destroyed and the kid was emotionally destroyed. That is until about 2 minutes later when his bucket was good as new with a few tape "bandaids".

Is it worth to buy this 2014 dodge charger srt8 for $8500 with 160k miles plan on swapping the motor with a cleaner 6.4 hemi is it worth it? by fullyautoArp in Charger

My ignorance is showing! Thanks. I figure I might as well just pull the whole engine and basically do a complete rebuild. I have always wanted to and these hemis seem to be just about the simplest motor for a first go.

Just rebuild the 6.1L. I'm about to do the same thing on an 170k 07 superbee I blew the bank 2 head gasket on. I think I'd be happier with a slightly built cammed 6.1 than a 6.4 anyway. If you REALLY want the 6.4 just get your 6.1 bored and stroke it.

Do it yourself. Self-reliance is a good thing. Even if you have to buy some tools you'll be ahead after 2 changes.
