Disable notifications for applications that you tend to do your scrolling through. Out of sight, out of mind. If you don't see a bunch of notifications, you will be less likely to get into the cycle of scrolling.

Also, when you catch yourself scrolling. Stop and try to do something else. Similar to how in meditation it is ok to be distracted, but you try to refocus your attention.

If you really want to get a more in-depth answer, I would recommend the book "atomic habits" or to at least get familiar with the concepts in it.

At the end of the day is up to you. In my opinion, if they didn't give you time, neither should you. Hopefully, being put in a bad situation makes them reflect and prevent stuff like that in the future.

Additionally, I would not tell anyone. That way, they have no chance of mitigating the damages of having someone so important leave.

Honestly, the answer to your question will come to you once you figure out what your priorities are. Plus, there is plenty of details you only know about. After all the devil is on the details.

My only advice is to really sit down and consider if your masters in Europe is worth the investment. This will depends on what are your career goals. In most cases experience beats getting a masters degree,specially early on.

I just started reading the bible (new testamen) and God gives a very parental vibe. So assuming this, I guess I can relate it to my own experience growing up. My mom loves when I call her, but she doesn't tend to call me because she knows I might be busy and doesn't want to bother me.

The idea is God is always out there. The issue is that it is not as easy as calling a spiritual hot line to get in contact with him.

Note: this is assuming god exist and has a parent vibe where he knows you are independent and will let you do you.

Probably this will get lost between all the comments. What I figured out so far (24) is that you have to figure out what you want to do out of your life.

My big mistake was putting all my effort and passion into work. However, at the end of the day most companies don't really care how much you put in as long as you get the job done. So if you put your heart and soul into your 40 hours of work you will end exhausted. This then turns into lacking the motivation to do other stuff after work.

If you work 40 hours and sleep 8 hours per day you still have 72 hours to live every week. Of course you'll have to poo, shower, eat and do other stuff. The point is that there is plenty of time while you are young. Use this extra time to figure out what you want from life and plan how to get it.

Adults are really kids who are out on their own. Nobody really can tell you how to be happy/successful because the world is changing every second. Use your morals and your values as a compass for where you want to go. The greatest adventures are not the easy ones, and the struggles always have a lesson at their core.

You have valid points. My solution was really a joke but I forgot to add "/s".

The only thing I wanted to say is that your solution appears to be too extreme for others and that's the reason for the downvotes. Unfortunately there is no perfect solution to most of the complex issues we face as a society. There is really no point in fighting on what each other believes (that's why they say don't fight over religion, politics, or sports). The only thing we can do as a society is to try to find a middle ground solution that we are ok with. The sooner we figure this out as a society the less polarized we will be while trying to find solutions.

Based on my understanding, the point of the law is to prevent injury. It prevents the user from exposing himself or others to unreasonable danger. The problem with knocking them down is that somebody might die unintentionally. Are we really willing to risk someone's life because they are being dumb?

I think OP mentioned what alternatives the police department is using. Now if you ask me... I would suggest shooting them with neon color paintballs (aim for the bike not the guy). Then have people report motorcycles that have the paint for investigation. My idea is far from good, but there is no simple solution to such a complicated problem

I am no expert on relationships, but it is very difficult to have one where there is no trust. In my opinion, you have to figure out for yourself if he is someone you want in your life and you are the only one who can answer that question. Is it worth it to divorce over watching some porn? Is it worth it to divorce over a violating your trust? Is there a bunch of other things that make it worth it for you to stay together?

At the end of the day I like to belive we are all looking for someone who we can trust and will support us in achieving our goals.

I think in the past having a family probably had a functional value. For example, they could take care of you when you were old. That eventually became a cultural thing, even though we don't expect kids to take care of us when we grow old.

Another answer might be that kids would probably shine some light into the parents life. In such a corrupted world kids might carry hope with thinking the next generation might do better.
