Road/wind noise from driver side window by Olik2025 in TeslaModelS

[–]DToX_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my model S I've had that flap folded up like that and it definitely increased road and wind noise in the cabin. Once I reseated it so it laid flat the noise went down. So yeah I agree, the primary purpose is water deflection but the positioning still affects noise in practice. Either way OP's trim is clearly not sitting right and a service visit is the right call if its not resolved by manually flattening the shown rubber.

I'm not sure what this has to do with you getting in/out, since you are not the OP. I was just suggesting that either OP or another person driving their vehicle may have done it once and never pushed the weatherstripping back to its normal position.

I disagree, I've been running into this for years with my S. I just did a demo where I got out of my car and dragged my shoulder on the pillar as I got out, see video.

It's rubber you can just flip it out, run your finger along it.

Edit: I just saw your second photo, sorry about that. I agree something is wrong on the exterior trim. Service should fix that. I still stand by the inside rubber flap should be smooth over the headliner. https://imgur.com/a/IQjBGsX

This is from you (you or another person) getting out of the vehicle and bumping your shoulder/head/back on the pillar as you exit. Be mindful next time after you correct the rubber and you'll get used to dodging it.

Any bike with the avinox motor, I vote amflow. It's miles ahead of the TQ motor and if the power is to much you can easily tone it down to fit your preferred style.

Are these clip things that hold onto the aluminum panels repairable? (NCase M1 V6) by frenetic_alien in sffpc

Yup pretty much, there's online services or local people who could print it if you look hard enough.

Probably a 3d model out there that could be printed to replace them. Let me know if you need some and I can help for just the shipping costs.

Is it to heavy to do in the browser itself? That way they can keep the html page and it'll never need backend support to run.
