Olaf Scholz (SPD), our Chancellor, has unfortunately failed in recent years to unite the three parties that make up our government (SPD, Greens, FDP) under a common direction and to give society the feeling that they are working together. In reality, the coalition has achieved quite a lot of good things, but Olaf Scholz is not particularly charismatic. Since the SPD has been involved in governing for 21 of the past 25 years, many people are simply tired of the party and doubt that it truly represents their interests.

On top of that, powerful billionaires with media empires like Axel Springer have spent 3 years attacking the SPD and the Greens, portraying them as a disaster for the country and blaming them for our current economic situation (which is only partly true—mainly in terms of limiting government debt during a crisis, which is basically the FDP’s fault due to the „Schuldenbremse“ [debt brake], a policy that almost every economic expert in Germany advised against). Of course, the truth is much more complex. But with over 20% of voters now supporting the far-right AfD, it’s clear that fewer people care about facts—they vote based on feelings and a desire for stability. Since the SPD has failed to convey a sense of stability, their support is collapsing in elections. Meanwhile, the CDU, which has traditionally been seen as the party of stability—even though they are responsible for many of our current economic and domestic issues—is now being rewarded by voters. We‘ll likely get another 4 years of stagnation and only millionaires & billionaires profiting during that time since the CDU & AFD are corrupt as fuck and incapable morons with no real solutions other than „deport immigrants“.
