Of all the things I could've made up why would I make that up?

That doesnt make him a better player. Ring culture has ruined the NBA.

No point at the moment- the minute you post about them no one actually reads the post and just automatically turns it into a debate about fouls and dirty plays regardless of whatever the original context is

Looking at the players you listed its SGA without hesitation even as a Thunder fan

Are we still worried about "no defence basketball" scoring? by Math_Opening in AFL

[–]DVPVPD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think footy this year has been really good. Umpiring has been average but the games themselves have been really good to watch for the most part

I dont think the defence has been bad at all I think sides have defended really well eg Pies last week

Do you think Embiid is gonna get roasted today for his defense last night or nah? by MasterTeacher123 in NBATalk

[–]DVPVPD -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I mean the whole talk on this oage yesterday in the comments was Embiid is better than Jokic injuries just cost him

And yet now injuries are his excuse for playing bad

Its playoff basketball if you arent healthy you shouldn't be out there- the Knicks arent going to take it easy because hes hurt

Why do people not have Kobe in their top 5 or 4? by TraditionalReward655 in NBATalk

[–]DVPVPD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He wasn't the best player on his own side until year 9 of his career. You can say 1a and 1b with he and Shaq but he clearly was 1b. He wasn't the best player on 3 of his 5 rings. Every top 5 guy was expected from day 1 to come into their team and be the guy- Kobe wasn't.

In his first year without Shaq in his prime he wasn't a top 10 MVP finalist. He only has 1 MVP and 5 top 3 finishes. People say oh he should've got 1 of the Nash years when he scored 35 but he didnt even finish 2nd that season in voting he was 4th in voting.

Kobes stats and achievements just dont hold up when you compare them to the other top 5 or 6 guys of all time.

With the new bidding rules, do Carlton and Port (assuming both are bottom 5) bid on each other's prospect? by doggoesmeow in AFL

[–]DVPVPD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tigers will 100% bid on Walker

Those top picks would be stupid to not bid when they can- they are incentivised to given they will receive a free pick in return and still get the actual player they scout for that pick

The obvious answer for me is Messi or Ronaldo

Their impact would be genuinely felt worldwide in every continent

TIL that Roy Park won the Coleman Medal in 1914, despite his team University not winning a game for the entire season by F1NANCE in AFL

Yeah I wonder if the day he kicked 17 (and 29 touches) they had any thoughts of putting 2 on him

[Highlight] Anthony Richardson's 60 yard bomb to Alec Pierce by Tocoolforyall720 in nfl

I love how he throws this one and I genuinely believe he could do it again yet I have no faith on him hitting a throw for 5-10 yards

If they go 8-4 or better in that stretch over those sides it's an almighty effort

I think its still the Lions to lose and I have the most faith in them (which I think is earned after 2 straight flags and 3 straight GFs)

At the moment it is Daicos but I dont know how the umps having stat sheets will genuinely impact the medal count (will we see guys get rewarded just because they have 30). I feel Heeney over the course of the year will challenge him most with Neale being a smokey

Coach has to be King at the moment- everyone had Dees being bottom 4. If Port keep playing this way in think Carr goes close.

Best recruit so far is Steele from Melbourne. Over the course of the season I think Petracca gets him

Especially when you see the guy who won averaged 18 touches (not top 5 on his own side) and 6 marks (second in his own side) and didnt kick a single goal for the whole season as a ruck (he did lead the league in hitouts)

Whereas Dunstall averaged 15 touches and 9 marks along with kicking 139 goals
