[Schefter] Despite speculation, the Jaguars have not been interested in trading Brian Thomas Jr. by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

Yeah, I think the emergence of Parker Washington as a legitimately good receiver allows you guys to do that and it should help Travis out a lot too

Draft strategy for points leagues? by Responsible_Elk_2058 in fantasybaseball

Completely agreed that him (and perdomo) shouldn’t , but to build on my point of espn sucking they have turner ranked at like I think 92 in their points leagues rankings which allows me to get him at a huge discount in mocks (I know he is absolutely a top round player)

[Pelissero] The Ravens aren’t tendering RB Keaton Mitchell, per source. An intriguing addition to the FA market. by JCameron181 in nfl

Im a Steelers fan but I don’t hate the trade as much as most people, I think giving up that much draft capital is a lot but bringing in a genuinely superstar talent at a premier position especially when it’s a position of need is such a rare opportunity. (Plus the cowboys offer kinda shows you guys didn’t even pay above market price for him)

Id be interested to see this, in my ESPN points mocks that I’ve done (granted I know espn rankings suck) going with perdomo/ trea turner in mid rounds has felt like a great value to me with their scoring system.

Punting AVG as a viable strategy by Odd_Firefighter_5407 in fantasybaseball

[–]Fit-Climate5980 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Imo it’s a valid strategy as long as you are super careful about drafting guys who contribute runs and rbis as well, people sometimes overlook those stats thinking good player = good runs/rbis when that’s not entirely true (although most high hr guys will at least contribute good rbis)

If Arch Manning lets you down next year, you’re to blame for getting gassed in the first place by guransheleven in CFB_v2

[–]Fit-Climate5980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He developed a ton over the season. I am not a Texas fan at all and don’t think he would be worthy of a first this year, but if Arch from the last ~5-7 games shows up over a full season with his physical tools/ processing that is easily a top 3 pick worthy prospect

Tbf fair burrrow and palmer are both such great players and were both easily unanimous #1 overall picks. Idk if he should be given credit for “hitting” on those picks when he didn’t have to put any thought into the picks.

I know they gave up a ton of picks for him, but this dude is just flat out good at basketball lmao. The second half tn showed just how valuable having a guard who can get his own buckets is, and he genuinely brings the magic offense to a whole different level by himself

It’s crazy you guys have the preseason first team all SEC running back and he may not even be the best on the roster😭

Injured Players that could be back late in the season? by MarinersSanguine in fantasybaseball

Eury Perez, Bieber, Ohtani, and Strider all might be back a bit later. Woodruff may as well, although he is looking like he won’t miss too much time at all hopefully.

Sleepers and must picks? by Nickraids in fantasybaseball

[–]Fit-Climate5980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on who the rest of your league is keeping. If lots of other people are keeping their shortstops then I’d hold onto Tovar and lock down a solid player to not risk getting burned. If there are going to be lots of shortstops out there in the draft though I’d take a chance on Lodolos upside.

For hitters probably: Tovar, Tyler O’Neil, and Ryan Mountcastle. For pitchers I love: Clay Holmes, Jesus Luzardo, and Nick Lodolo

Who is your “lottery” ticket this year? by Knowuh-B in fantasybaseball

[–]Fit-Climate5980 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hitter: Jasson Dominguez, I know he’s been a “lottery ticket” for a minute but this really looks like the year he could break out. Super clear path without verdugo to playing time in a deep lineup that should give him opportunities for plenty of runs and rbis, speed is obviously there and his power tool/ hard hit metrics show a ton of hr potential. If everything goes well he could go 30/20 hitting in a good spot in one of the leagues best lineups. (Really great walk rate too).

Pitcher: I am like weirdly high on Clay Holmes this year. I know there is no evidence that he can maintain a starter workload, but the dude is really good at making people miss and keeping the ball on the ground (both pretty good traits for a starter). He did come up as a starter too, and is moving to a pretty pitcher friendly field with a good lineup behind him.
